What Happened in Overgeared Episode 1: Grid Gets a Legendary Class and Loses Everything
Overgeared Episode 1, titled “Legendary Class,” introduced Shin Youngwoo, a debt-ridden gamer who plays the VRMMORPG Satisfy under the name Grid. His real life is a mess, and his in-game progress is painfully slow .
An S-rank quest led him to Pagma’s Tome, which unlocked the legendary class Pagma’s Successor. The class gave him the ability to craft powerful equipment, but the system reset his level from 73 to -1 and stripped away most of his warrior stats .
The episode ended with Grid logging out mid-fight against the Blood Witch, which dropped him to -3 and triggered a 12-hour ban from Satisfy. At the game’s headquarters, the development team held an emergency meeting because Pagma’s Tome was not supposed to be discovered for another two years .

Grid tried two shortcuts. First, he designed a powerful greatsword using his legendary class, but he had no materials to forge it. Then he approached a high-level guild, but they refused to help a negative-level player .
The episode’s turning point came when Grid visited the forge of Khan, a local blacksmith. He found thugs insulting Khan’s dead son and stepped in, earning a small measure of respect. Khan agreed to let Grid work for him doing manual labor like chopping wood and mining .
Grid eventually crafted Jaffa arrows and achieved his first epic rank item. The episode ended with the Satisfy development team realizing their missing mercenaries were connected to the Yatan Church .
