Panchayat, one of India’s most beloved web series, is set to begin filming for its fourth season on October 25, 2024. The show, which has captured the hearts of many since its debut on April 3, 2020, is making a return with the full cast, including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghubir Yadav. Season 3, which aired earlier this year, ended with some intriguing plot developments, and fans are eager to see how the story unfolds in the next chapter.

Full Cast Set to Return

According to reports, the fourth season will bring back the entire ensemble cast. Jitendra Kumar will return as Abhishek Tripathi, also known as Sachiv Ji. Joining him will be Raghubir Yadav as Brij Bhushan Dubey and Neena Gupta as Manju Devi. Other familiar faces like Faisal Malik (Prahlad), Chandan Roy (Vikas Shukla), Sanvikaa (Rinki), Durgesh Kumar (Bhushan), and Ashok Pathak (Binod) are also expected to reprise their roles. Fans will be pleased to know that Pankaj Jha, who portrayed the scheming MLA Chaurasiya in previous seasons, is set to have an expanded role in this season.

Additionally, Swanand Kirkire, who made a brief but memorable appearance as an MP in Season 3, will have a more significant part in Season 4. His role is expected to introduce new layers of complexity to the ongoing storyline.

High Expectations from the Audience

The anticipation for Panchayat Season 4 is high, with the show having built a massive following across multiple age groups. Known for its simple yet impactful storytelling, the series appeals to a wide audience, making it a family-friendly watch. The makers are well aware of the high stakes involved, and they have reportedly been working hard to ensure that the upcoming season meets the fans’ expectations.

The show’s creator and director, Deepak Kumar Mishra, had earlier confirmed that they have a clear vision for the next two seasons. He stated that Season 4 is already in the works and hinted that Season 5 will also follow. The writing team, led by Mishra, has reportedly completed the first few episodes of Season 4.

What to Expect from the Storyline

While the plot of Panchayat Season 4 remains largely under wraps, several unresolved storylines from Season 3 leave room for speculation. Fans are curious to know whether Abhishek will finally pass his CAT exam and move forward in his career, or whether he will remain in the village of Phulera. Another critical plotline revolves around the attack on Pradhan Ji, which left viewers with a cliffhanger. Additionally, the upcoming Pradhan elections in Phulera could serve as a focal point for the next season, potentially introducing more drama and conflict among the village’s characters.

Production Schedule and Release

The first season of Panchayat was released after a relatively short production cycle, but subsequent seasons have seen longer gaps between releases. Season 2 premiered on May 18, 2022, two years after the first season. Similarly, Season 3 arrived earlier this year, following a two-year hiatus. Based on this pattern, it remains to be seen if Season 4 will follow a similar schedule, although filming is set to begin soon.
