Park Jinyoung and Park Bo Young, the lead stars of the hit K-drama Our Unwritten Seoul, recently appeared on the YouTube show Halmyungsoo, hosted by Park Myung Soo. The interview took a hilarious turn when a fan comment prompted Jinyoung to react in a way that had everyone laughing, especially his co-star Bo Young.
During the chat, a viewer message popped up on screen saying, “Make ssam for your girlfriend.” The “girlfriend” referred to Park Bo Young, as their characters are romantically linked in the drama. Ssam is a Korean dish where grilled meat and side dishes are wrapped in leafy greens.
Jinyoung immediately fired back, “Who are you to tell me to make ssam for her?” He added with playful annoyance, “He went out of line. I can take care of my own girlfriend.” His quick and exaggerated response had Bo Young bursting into laughter. The clip quickly went viral, with fans loving their natural chemistry.
The lighthearted moment gave viewers a glimpse of the actors’ off-screen bond. Many fans commented that their real-life friendship makes their on-screen romance in Our Unwritten Seoul even more believable. The drama has been gaining attention for its emotional depth and strong performances.
Our Unwritten Seoul follows twin sisters Yoo Mi Rae (Park Bo Young), a stressed corporate worker, and Yoo Mi Ji (also played by Bo Young), a carefree former athlete. After swapping lives, they confront their personal struggles while navigating each otherโs worlds. Jinyoung plays Lee Ho Soo, a lawyer who becomes entangled in their lives.
The series, directed by Park Shin Woo and written by Lee Kang, has been praised for its realistic portrayal of mental health and family bonds. Episodes 3 and 4 air on May 31 and June 1 on tvN and Netflix. Fans are eager to see how the story unfolds, especially after the twins’ secret switch starts causing complications.
In other fun moments from the interview, Jinyoung and Bo Young shared behind-the-scenes stories from filming. They revealed how challenging it was to shoot emotional scenes back-to-back while maintaining the distinct personalities of the twins. The castโs camaraderie has been a major highlight for viewers.
The dramaโs unique premise and strong performances have made it one of the most talked-about K-dramas this year. With its mix of humor, drama, and heartfelt moments, Our Unwritten Seoul continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
