Story Background: What Rebirth Is About
Rebirth continues directly from where Princess Agents left off. The story follows Chu Qiao (played by Huangyang Tiantian), a former slave girl who falls into a frozen lake alongside Zhuge Yue (Li Yunrui) during a battle. While Chu Qiao gets rescued by Yan Xun (Zhang Kangle), she receives news that Zhuge Yue did not survive.
Believing the man she loves is dead, Chu Qiao seeks revenge. But her path becomes complicated as she enters a larger power struggle involving four kingdoms. While in the region of Bian Tang, a mysterious man repeatedly helps her, making Chu Qiao suspect that Zhuge Yue might actually be alive.
Meanwhile, Yan Xun changes from a friendly prince into an ambitious ruler who starts wars across the land. Chu Qiao must decide between revenge, restoring peace, and finding the truth about Zhuge Yue.
The series is adapted from the novel The Legend of Chu Qiao: Division 11’s Princess Agent by Xiao Xiang Dong Er. It marks a direct follow-up to the 2017 hit drama that starred Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin.
