The Loss Arc Heats Up Before the Mid-Season Break
Season 4 of Re:ZERO premiered on April 8, 2026, and is being produced by White Fox. The series is directed by Masahiro Shinohara, with character designs by Haruka Sagawa. This season covers Arc 6 of Tappei Nagatsuki’s light novel series.
The first half of the season, known as the “Loss Arc,” will run for a total of 11 episodes. Episode 11 is scheduled to air on June 17, 2026. After that, the show will take a break.
Episode 10 arrives just one week before the finale of the first cour.
The second part of the season is titled the “Recapture Arc.” It is set to return on August 12, 2026, and is expected to run for 8 episodes, bringing the total for Season 4 to 19 episodes.

Episode 9 ended on a terrifying note. The episode began with Subaru and the group meeting a mysterious figure in the Pleiades Watchtower while searching for answers about the “Sage.” However, the mood quickly turned to horror.
Toward the end of the episode, a cryptic message was scrawled onto Subaru’s hand. Immediately after, the team discovered a dead body right at Subaru’s feet. The implication is terrifying: someone—or something—is using Subaru’s body (or a copy of it) to commit murder without his knowledge. Fans are calling this one of the most disturbing developments in the series so far. The episode ended with Subaru realizing that the watchtower is not offering safety, but rather a trap that is closing in around him.
