In Interview With the Vampire Season 3, Sam Reid‘s character, Lestat, transforms into a rock star, adding an unexpected twist to the story. This exciting development was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2024, where fans got a first look at Lestat’s rocker persona through a teaser trailer.

Interview With the Vampire is a modern adaptation of Anne Rice’s gothic novel. The show has been renewed for a third season following the conclusion of its second season on June 30, 2024. Fans eagerly watched the teaser at SDCC, which showcased Lestat embracing his inner rock star and starting a band.

What’s New for Mayfair Witches?

The Comic-Con panel for Interview With the Vampire was followed by an appearance from the stars of Mayfair Witches. The second season of Mayfair Witches, based on Anne Rice‘s book trilogy, is currently in production in New Orleans and will feature eight episodes. New cast members include Alyssa Jirrels, Ted Levine, and Thora Birch.

  • New Locations: The show will explore new locations like Scotland and introduce new characters.
  • New Cast: Callan McAuliffe will play Abel Mayfair, Franka Potente will play Annamieke, and Ian Pirie will play Ian Mayfair.

During the panel, Alyssa Jirrels shared insights about her character, Moira Mayfair, who is Rowan’s cousin and holds a grudge against the family and Lasher for her sister Tessa’s death.

Alexandra Daddario Talks About Her Character’s Complex Emotions

Alexandra Daddario, who plays Rowan, discussed her character’s complex feelings towards her new baby. Daddario described the situation as “messy” and “confusing” due to the nature of Anne Rice‘s storyline. She mentioned, “How does she feel about it? She wants to have s*x with him and also loves him like child.” Daddario explained that the character views the baby as father, son, and lover, adding to the intricate narrative.

Mayfair Witches follows Rowan Fielding, a young neurosurgeon who discovers she is the heir to a family of witches. As she learns to control her new powers, she faces a dark force that has plagued her family for generations. The second season of Mayfair Witches will premiere next year on AMC and AMC+.
