Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin are back together on screen, but not in the way fans might expect. In the new KBS 2TV drama A Love Other Than Yours, their characters ended a 10-year relationship in the very first episode. Now, in the upcoming second episode, they will pretend to be a couple once again. Their reason is simple and a bit funny: they want to win prizes at an event for engaged couples. The new episode airs on September 13 at 9:20 p.m. KST on KBS 2TV and streams on Prime Video.
What Happened in the First Episode
The drama opened with a painful breakup. Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin) and Namgoong Ho (Seo Kang-jun) called it quits after a decade together. Namgoong Ho was ready to marry. Lee Mi-do felt the weight of the relationship growing heavier by the day. She asked him to end things. But ten years of habits do not disappear overnight. The morning after the breakup, Namgoong Ho called Lee Mi-do out of instinct to wake her up. Both of them said their usual “I love you” greetings before realizing what they had done. The moment left them panicked and embarrassed.
That mix of old comfort and new awkwardness sits at the heart of the show. The drama looks at what happens when two people who know everything about each other suddenly have to act like strangers. The first episode set up that tension in a direct way. The second episode builds on it with a lighter, more playful situation.
The Couple Quiz Event
New stills from episode two show Namgoong Ho and Lee Mi-do at an event for engaged couples. They are not engaged anymore. They are not even dating. But the prize is too good to pass up. Both of them have strong competitive streaks. Their faces in the photos show more determination than discomfort. Lee Mi-do makes the rules clear.
“We’re splitting [the prizes] 50-50 no matter what.”
Namgoong Ho fires back with a warning of his own.
“Don’t go back on your word later, all right?”
The two exes know each other’s tastes and habits better than anyone. That knowledge gives them confidence going into the “couples quiz” challenge. But the quiz throws unexpected questions at them. The show uses this setup to bring both humor and tension. Viewers will see how well these two actually know each other, and whether that knowledge still matters after the breakup.
The Cast and Their Characters
Seo Kang-jun plays Namgoong Ho, a sociable assistant manager at Hunmin Confectionery. He has a stable job and would do anything for his longtime girlfriend. His world gets shaken when Mi-do starts to pull away.

The production team shared their thoughts on the cast’s chemistry.

What Makes This Drama Stand Out
Many romance dramas build toward a big breakup or a dramatic reunion. This one starts with the breakup and then asks what comes next. Namgoong Ho and Lee Mi-do have shared a decade of their lives. They know each other’s morning routines, favorite foods, and small habits. That history does not vanish just because they said goodbye. The show explores how two people can be completely familiar and completely lost at the same time.
The second episode’s couple quiz event brings that idea to life in a light and watchable way. It also raises a question that runs through the whole series. If these two know each other so well, why did things fall apart? The answer is not simple, and the show seems willing to sit with that complexity. The new episode will show whether their old bond helps them or just makes things harder.
