The tvN thriller Siren’s Kiss delivered two intense episodes this week, pushing the story toward its final stretch. With only two episodes left after this week’s release, the mystery surrounding Han Seol-ah and the deaths connected to her is finally coming into focus. The March 30 and 31 episodes brought major turns—from Seol-ah’s arrest to a risky plan that puts both leads in direct danger.
Siren’s Kiss follows insurance fraud investigator Cha Woo-seok (Wi Ha-joon) and art auctioneer Han Seol-ah (Park Min-young), a woman whose past lovers keep dying under strange circumstances. The show has kept viewers guessing whether Seol-ah is a victim or a killer. This week’s episodes offered the clearest answer yet.
Seol-ah Gets Released as Woo-seok Finds Third-Party Evidence
Episode 9 opened with a shocking scene. Han Seol-ah stood next to the body of Baek Jun-beom (Kim Jung-hyun), blood on her face and hands. The police arrested her on the spot for murder. Jun-beom was actually Lee Soo-ho, Seol-ah’s former lover who had plastic surgery to change his identity and had been stalking her.
While Seol-ah refused to speak to investigators, Cha Woo-seok worked to prove her innocence. He examined the crime scene and found traces that did not belong to either Seol-ah or Jun-beom. Woo-seok told the detectives a third person was likely present during the killing. His efforts paid off, and the police released Seol-ah.
The episode showed Woo-seok’s growing belief in Seol-ah’s innocence. When he visited her in custody, she tried to push him away, saying she killed all her past lovers. But Woo-seok did not accept her confession. After her release, Seol-ah remained emotionally shaken. She had just watched a man she once loved die, even though she believed he was already dead years ago.
After recovering from exhaustion at Woo-seok’s apartment, Seol-ah chose to leave. She told Woo-seok he could not get hurt anymore and walked away from him, hiding her true feelings behind a calm expression.
A New Suspect Emerges in the Art Insurance Fraud Case
Episode 9 also introduced a new direction for the investigation. Cha Woo-seok had been looking into a series of art pieces that were destroyed under suspicious circumstances, leading to large insurance payouts. The cases reminded him of Joo Hyun-soo (Park Ji-an), a woman who had killed her younger sister for insurance money years ago. Hyun-soo was also responsible for driving Woo-seok’s sister to her death, adding personal stakes to his search.
Woo-seok tracked Hyun-soo through Dr. Shin (Yoon Jae Chan). When he went to her location, he found a package outside her door with a driver’s name tied to Royal Auction’s art transport. As he tried to leave, Hyun-soo arrived in the elevator. Just as she reached his floor, someone pulled Woo-seok into a corner and covered his mouth.
It was Seol-ah. The two found themselves together again, both chasing the same truth. The episode ended with them realizing they were now both involved in uncovering the art insurance fraud operation.
Episode 10: The Vault Mission Raises the Danger
The March 31 episode, episode 10, showed Seol-ah and Woo-seok joining forces. After learning that Hyun-soo worked for Chairwoman Kim Sun-ae (Kim Geum-soon), the head of Royal Auction, Seol-ah told Woo-seok about her plan. She had been secretly investigating Kim’s dealings for some time. Kim was responsible for ruining Seol-ah’s father years ago by forcing him to paint forgeries and then making him take the blame.
Woo-seok discovered that the Stiller painting, owned by the dead Jun-beom, was set to be inherited by Seol-ah. This concerned him because it could make her look guilty again. But instead of pulling back, he decided to help her. He told Seol-ah he wanted to stay by her side and protect her.
The pair planned to break into Chairwoman Kim’s secret vault where stolen artwork was stored. They believed the vault held proof of Kim’s insurance fraud scheme, including paintings that were reported destroyed in fires but were actually kept hidden.
Seol-ah Gets Trapped Inside the Vault
The vault mission became the centerpiece of episode 10. Seol-ah went inside while Woo-seok stayed outside monitoring. Once inside, Seol-ah started filming evidence. She found her father’s last artwork inside the vault, a discovery that left her deeply shaken.
The security system activated, and the communication between Seol-ah and Woo-seok cut off. Seol-ah tried to leave but did not know the exit password. Alarms started ringing. At the same time, Woo-seok learned that Chairwoman Kim was heading toward the vault.
The episode ended with Seol-ah hiding inside the vault as someone else entered. The cliffhanger left viewers waiting to see if she would escape or get caught. Woo-seok rushed toward the vault, knowing Kim was closing in.
Ratings and Viewer Response
The drama continues to perform well in South Korea. Episode 9 recorded an average nationwide rating of 4.8 percent with a peak of 5.9 percent. Episode 10 brought a 4.4 percent average. The show has ranked first in its time slot for nine straight weeks.
Viewers responded strongly to this week’s episodes. Many focused on Woo-seok’s choice to stand by Seol-ah even when everyone else doubted her.
“Woo-seok’s words to Seol-ah sounded more romantic and passionate than any confession of love,” one viewer shared online. Others noted that his actions showed how deeply he cared about her, even without saying it directly.
Some viewers expressed frustration with the police handling of Seol-ah’s case. Comments pointed out that Woo-seok did more investigative work than the actual detectives.
The tension between Seol-ah and Chairwoman Kim also drew attention. Their history—Kim destroying Seol-ah’s father and now Seol-ah fighting back—sets up a final confrontation in the remaining episodes.
What Happened in the Vault Scene
The vault sequence in episode 10 carried major weight for the story. Seol-ah entered the space knowing she was risking everything. She filmed the paintings that were supposed to be destroyed, evidence that could expose Kim’s fraud.
Finding her father’s painting inside the vault hit Seol-ah hard. It confirmed what she had long suspected—Kim took her father’s work and kept it hidden while letting him take the blame for the forgery scandal years ago. That scandal destroyed her family and left her parents dead in a fire when she was 15.
When the alarms went off, Seol-ah’s situation became critical. Kim’s security team likely knew someone was inside. The final shot showed Seol-ah hiding as a figure entered the vault. The episode did not reveal who entered or whether Seol-ah escaped.

The Connection to Woo-seok’s Past
Episode 10 also made clear how Joo Hyun-soo ties everything together. Hyun-soo worked for Chairwoman Kim, carrying out the insurance fraud scheme. She was also the person who drove Woo-seok’s sister to her death years earlier. For Woo-seok, catching Hyun-soo means avenging his sister.
The connection between the two leads’ past tragedies gives the story emotional weight. Both lost family members because of the same people—Kim and her network. Their fight is not just about solving a case. It is about justice for their families.
With two episodes left, the show is building toward a final showdown. The vault break-in could give Seol-ah and Woo-seok the proof they need to take down Kim. But Kim has shown she is willing to do anything to protect her business, and she knows Seol-ah is after her.
