This ending was not the network’s choice. In February 2026, Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack posted a video online to share the news. They said they decided to stop making the show. This was surprising because Adult Swim had already approved Season 4 and Season 5 back in June 2025.
The creators explained that they felt very tired from working on the show for years. They also said they felt good about what they had already made. The robot is actually a real man who just wanted to make friends. He got tricked by a fake website.
Episode 10: “Charlie’s Uncle Dies and Doesn’t Come Back”
Charlie takes Pim to meet his dying uncle, Bilbert. The uncle wants to have one last day of fun. He drags Charlie and Pim to strange and illegal places, like a cockfighting ring with 3D characters. They all get arrested. In jail, Bilbert attacks Pim. Charlie finally fights back and punches his uncle. The police then find out that Bilbert is a wanted criminal called the “Cincinnati S*xpest.” He gets arrested for good.

Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack said they are closing the show for now. But they did not say it is gone forever. They left the door open just a little bit.
