The wait is almost over for fans of the new Korean drama Spooky in Love. The show’s third and fourth episodes are scheduled to arrive this weekend, continuing the story of a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a prosecutor who fears them. The series has already started building its mystery, and the next two episodes promise to dig deeper into the cases that bring the main characters together.
Episode 3 drops on Saturday, July 25, 2026, and Episode 4 follows on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Both episodes air at 9:10 PM KST on the Korean cable network tvN. International viewers can stream the same episodes on Netflix shortly after the Korean broadcast. The series follows a weekly schedule with two new episodes every weekend until the finale.
What Spooky in Love Is About
Spooky in Love is a Korean drama that mixes romance, comedy, horror, and mystery. The story centers on Cheon Yeo-ri, a wealthy heiress and CEO of the Reina Hotel, who has a special ability. She can see and talk to ghosts, especially those who died unfairly. But her gift comes with a problem: anyone who touches her can also see ghosts. Because of this, she wears gloves at all times and keeps people at a distance, which makes her feel lonely.
On the other side is Ma Gang-uk, a skilled prosecutor who is not afraid of criminals but is terrified of ghosts. He is investigating a murder case when he meets Yeo-ri. Their first meeting does not go well, and they find each other strange. But they soon realize that working together can help solve cases. Yeo-ri’s ghost-guided clues help Gang-uk find evidence, and their disagreements slowly turn into trust.
The series is a remake of the 2011 Korean film Spellbound. It is directed by Lee Min-soo and written by Choi Jung-mi. The show has 12 episodes in total and will continue until August 23, 2026.
What Happened in the First Two Episodes
The opening episodes introduce viewers to Yeo-ri’s world and how she meets Gang-uk. Yeo-ri manages the Reina Hotel while hiding her ability to see ghosts. Her gift has already caused problems in her personal life. Before her wedding, she warned her fiancé that touching her would make him see ghosts. He said he could handle it, but the haunting scared him so much that he left her on their wedding day.
Gang-uk is investigating a criminal case when he finds Yeo-ri at a crime scene in a forest at night. He suspects her of disturbing the evidence and confronts her. But both are looking for answers about the same incident. They argue, chase each other, and police get involved, but Yeo-ri disappears before Gang-uk can learn who she really is.
They meet again by chance when Yeo-ri follows directions from the ghost of an elderly man. The spirit leads her to the people responsible for his death. Gang-uk jumps into her car and becomes part of the chase. He finds it strange that Yeo-ri keeps talking to someone he cannot see. Following the ghost’s guidance, they stop the suspects and find the old man’s body hidden in a car trunk. The discovery gives Gang-uk the evidence he needs and makes him more curious about Yeo-ri’s abilities.
What to Expect in Episodes 3 and 4
The upcoming episodes will raise the stakes for both characters. Yeo-ri’s cousin, Cheon Ha-ri, starts getting suspicious of Yeo-ri’s repeated success in solving cases. She begins looking into whether supernatural forces are involved, hoping to use this information against Yeo-ri in the family’s business succession plans. This adds a new layer of tension as Yeo-ri must now deal with family politics on top of her ghostly encounters.
Meanwhile, Gang-uk gets pulled off the case he has been working on. This sudden change adds more pressure to their partnership. The case linked to Park Seung-jae and Yeo-ri’s family from Episode 2 will continue to develop. Bigger conflicts involving business rivalries and a character named Kang Min-hwan are also hinted at.
