The series follows Nagi Taira, once the most feared assassin in the world. After taking a bullet meant for his younger sister Shizuka, Nagi falls into a deep coma. His sister discovers that the only way to wake him is to put him in real danger—specifically, by directing murderous intent toward him.
Shizuka takes an extreme approach to rehabilitation. She begins dragging her unconscious brother into battles against increasingly dangerous opponents, hoping the threat of death will trigger his return to consciousness. The situation becomes more complicated with the arrival of Naozumi Kurosaka, Nagi’s former classmate who harbors a strong rivalry toward him.
