After months of waiting, FX has officially announced when The Bear Season 5 will hit screens. The popular kitchen drama is coming back for one last round, and the release date is right around the corner.

The show’s fifth and final season will premiere on June 25, 2026, on FX and Hulu. All eight episodes will drop at once, letting viewers binge the entire final chapter in one sitting.

Carmy Walks Away In The Final Season’s Story

The Bear Season 5 picks up right where season four left off. The morning after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) , Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) , and Natalie (Abby Elliott) find out that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has left the food industry for good. He walks away from the restaurant and hands it over to them.

The official logline from FX explains what comes next. The team has no money left. Someone wants to buy the place. And a heavy storm is coming their way. The group must work together to pull off one final service, hoping to finally earn a Michelin star.

Returning Cast Members For The Final Season

Most of the main cast is coming back for the final episodes. Jeremy Allen White returns as Carmy Berzatto. Ayo Edebiri is back as Sydney Adamu. Ebon Moss-Bachrach returns as Richie Jerimovich. Abby Elliott will play Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto again.

Other returning main cast members include Lionel Boyce as Marcus, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, and Matty Matheson as Neil Fak. Recurring cast members set to return include Jamie Lee Curtis as Donna Berzatto, Oliver Platt as Uncle Jimmy, Will Poulter as Luca, and Ricky Staffieri as Ted.

Jamie Lee Curtis already knew the show was ending. She told Entertainment Tonight back in March, “It is the end of the show. They’ve said it from the beginning.” She made sure to clarify she wasn’t making any official announcement at that time.

When And Where To Watch The Bear Season 5

The Bear Season 5 comes out on June 25, 2026. In the United States, the show streams on Hulu. It also airs on the FX cable channel. The first two episodes will premiere on FX on June 25, followed by one new episode each week. On Hulu, all eight episodes will be available to watch right away.

For viewers in India, the show is available on Disney+ Hotstar. In the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and many other countries, The Bear Season 5 will stream on Disney+ as well.

The Surprise ‘Gary’ Episode That Dropped Before The Announcement

One day before FX confirmed the final season release date, the network surprise-released a special bonus episode titled ‘Gary’ . This standalone episode features Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie and Jon Bernthal as Mikey. The story follows the two characters on a work trip to Gary, Indiana.

The episode is currently streaming on Hulu and Disney+ . Fans can watch it as a lead-up to the final season.

What The Show Has Achieved So Far

The Bear first premiered in 2022 and quickly became a huge hit. The first season won 10 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series. Season two won 11 Emmys. Season three received 13 nominations but did not win any awards. Season four is eligible for the upcoming awards season. The final season will compete for Emmys in 2027.

Jeremy Allen White spoke to Variety about his connection to the character. He compared his time on The Bear to his long run on Shameless. He said that on Shameless, he sometimes felt disconnected from the role toward the end. But with Carmy, he feels very connected and still invested in the character.
