Episode 11 Recap: Pride Takes a Stand

Episode 11, which aired on June 16, 2026, brought the tension to a peak. The episode focused on Pride confronting the crisis in the neighboring kingdom of Sahis. Cedric, the second prince of Sahis, had been trying to negotiate an alliance with Freesia. But his true motives were more complicated. Pride discovered that Cedric’s older brother, King Lance of Sahis, had gone mad, and the kingdom was facing serious threats from the Hanazou United Kingdoms.

Pride and Cedric had a conversation through a door, where Cedric expressed regret for his past behavior and his feelings of helplessness. Pride reassured him that everything would work out. The episode ended with Freesia and the Hanazou United Kingdoms officially forming an alliance, setting the stage for a military response that would begin in six days. Meanwhile, Pride’s younger sister Tiara made a surprising proposal that could change everything.

What Happened Earlier in Season 2

The second season expanded Pride’s mission to protect her kingdom from the game’s tragic storyline. After successfully avoiding her fate as the wicked queen in the first season, Pride continued using her knowledge of the game to prevent disasters.

A major arc involved Pride’s fiancรฉ Leon, the prince of the Anemone Kingdom. Pride visited the Anemone Kingdom to prevent a tragedy that was supposed to happen to Leon in the game’s story. But Leon was struggling with his own responsibilities. The episode where Leon kissed Pride caught her off guard and made her realize his feelings were genuine, not just part of the game’s script. Pride later reported to her mother, Queen Rosa, about canceling the engagement and revealing the crimes of Leon’s brothers, Alvin and Homa. Rosa wept and revealed a shocking truth.

The season also showed important moments for Pride’s close allies. Stale decided to train as the next regent under the current regent, West, meaning he would be away from Pride more often. He made a decision to protect her even from a distance. Arthur was promoted to vice-captain of the eighth battalion of the Royal Knights. A subplot showed the new character Cedric paying more attention to Pride than to Tiara, which deviated from the original game’s storyline. Cedric’s reckless behavior angered Pride, but she eventually chose to help him despite her frustration.

Final Episode Expectations

With Episode 11 ending on a tense note, the Season 2 finale of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior is expected to show the outcome of Pride’s decisions regarding the alliance and the crisis in Sahis. The series has consistently adapted the light novels written by Tenichi. Studio OLM has directed the season under Norio Nitta. The opening theme is “Ego” by Retroiron, and the ending theme is “Tarareba” by Garakuta.

The second season concludes on June 23, 2026. The series has been a standout in the Spring 2026 anime season, praised for its engaging take on the “villainess” genre and Pride’s determined character.
