The second season of The Traitors India has come to a close with a dramatic finish. Krystle D’Souza and Rida Tharana emerged as the winners, taking home the grand prize of ₹66 lakh together. The duo played as traitors throughout the game and successfully outlasted the innocents in the finale, which streamed on September 3, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video.
Hosted by Karan Johar, the reality show put 21 contestants through weeks of strategy, deception, and shifting alliances. By the end, it was the traitors who had the last laugh.
How the Traitors Outplayed the Innocents
Krystle D’Souza entered the game as one of the original traitors alongside Harman Singha, Shahneel Gill, and Aaditya Kulshreshth (Kullu). As the season moved forward, the other original traitors were caught and removed during the Circle of Shaq. Krystle remained the only original traitor to survive.
When Shahneel Gill was eliminated, Krystle got the chance to recruit a new traitor. She chose Rida Tharana, who had started the season as an innocent. Rida accepted the offer, and the two formed a strong partnership that carried them to the end.
Rida had already shown her skills earlier in the game. She was the one who correctly identified Kullu as a traitor, which earned her trust from the other innocents. Once she switched sides, she became a key player in the traitors’ plan.
The Finale Episode Breakdown
The finale began with six contestants still in the running: Krystle D’Souza, Rida Tharana, Mallika Sherawat, Shalini Passi, Dalip Tahil, and Sahil Salathia. The episode started with Mallika Sherawat being “murdered” by the traitors, leaving five players.
The remaining contestants then took part in a final mission to add money to the prize pot. They had to find gold bars hidden on camels and diffuse a detonator to complete the task. Before the mission, the prize pot stood at ₹48,40,000. The team managed to collect ₹17,60,000 more, bringing the total to ₹66 lakh.
After the mission, the players entered the last Circle of Shaq. Dalip Tahil was voted out first. But under the rules, he did not have to reveal if he was an innocent or a traitor.
The final four were Krystle, Rida, Shalini, and Sahil. They played the final round called “Shak aur Bharosa” (Trust or Shaq). The rules were simple: if everyone chose Trust, the game would end. But if even one person chose Shaq, voting would continue until only two players remained.
In the first round, everyone chose Shaq, and Sahil was voted out. In the next round, Krystle and Rida chose Trust, but Shalini chose Shaq. This led to another vote. Shalini voted against Rida, while Krystle and Rida voted against Shalini. Shalini was eliminated, leaving Krystle and Rida as the final two.
Krystle’s Choice to Stay Loyal
One of the biggest moments came when Krystle had the chance to remove Rida from the game. If she had done that, she would have been the only traitor left and could have claimed the entire ₹66 lakh prize for herself.
Instead, Krystle chose to stand by Rida. She later said she wanted to be a “girl’s girl” and keep her ally with her. She even joked that Rida was the “worst traitor” but still chose to stay loyal.
“Krystle could have easily gone against Rida but she said that she would rather be a ‘girl’s girl’ and keep her with her for the support throughout the show.”
When Krystle and Rida finally revealed that they were both traitors, Sahil and Shalini were visibly shocked. Their reactions showed just how well the duo had hidden their identities throughout the game.

The winners shared the ₹66 lakh prize money equally. Krystle, who survived as a traitor from the very first episode, proved her skills in strategy and deception. Rida, who switched sides midway, showed that a well-timed move can change everything.
Karan Johar congratulated both winners and also announced that a third season of the show is coming.
The Traitors Season 2 premiered on August 13, 2026, and ran for 10 episodes. The show was shot at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer and featured a mix of actors, content creators, and celebrities. Some of the other contestants this season included Shweta Tiwari, Munawar Faruqui, Rhea Chakraborty, Ranveer Brar, and Abhishek Malhan.
