What Happened in Episode 3

The Story So Far

Keigetsu Shu, from the Shu family, is widely loathed and branded as a villainess, earning the nickname the “Court Sewer Rat” . During the night of a rare comet sighting, Keigetsu’s jealousy reaches its peak, and she uses forbidden magic to swap bodies with Reirin . Keigetsu attempts to murder Reirin by pushing her off a balcony, but Reirin is quickly saved .
When Reirin awakens, she finds herself trapped in Keigetsu’s body. She realizes the spell silences her when she speaks the truth about the swap . She is to undergo the Lion’s Judgment to decide her verdict. During the judgment, Reirin is placed in a locked cage with a lion, but the lion refuses to attack. She survives the judgment and is ruled innocent . However, the Crown Prince warns that her hostilities towards Reirin will continue to haunt her .
With her execution canceled, Reirin is exiled to an abandoned storehouse at the border. Despite the poor living conditions, she views this as an opportunity to farm due to the area’s fertile soil . Two spies are sent by the Crown Prince to closely monitor Keigetsu and are surprised to see her acting friendly .
