The latest episode of Tracker brought back familiar faces while introducing new characters in a high-stakes search for a missing trial witness. Season 3 Episode 19, titled “Chain of Custody,” aired on May 3, 2026 on CBS. The episode centered on Reenie Greene asking Colter Shaw to find a key witness who vanished the night before a major lawsuit trial.

Main Cast Returns for Season 3 Episode 19
Justin Hartley led the episode as Colter Shaw, the lone-wolf survivalist who travels the country solving mysteries for rewards. Hartley has played this role since the show began, basing his character on Jeffery Deaver’s novel “The Never Game.” In this episode, Colter puts his tracking skills to work helping his friend and lawyer Reenie.
Fiona Rene returned as Reenie Greene, the sharp attorney who finds herself in a tough spot when her star witness disappears. Rene’s character has a complicated history with Colter, including a past romantic connection before the series started. This episode showed Reenie under pressure as she blamed herself for getting the witness involved in the dangerous case.
Chris Lee appeared again as Randy, the tech expert who helps Colter with surveillance and tracking. Randy tried locating the missing witness’s truck but hit dead ends since the vehicle lacked GPS.
Kathleen Robertson Joins as Guest Star
Kathleen Robertson played Maxine, Reenie’s fellow attorney working on the lawsuit against a corrupt real estate developer. The character first appeared earlier in Season 3 as a recurring role. Robertson is known for her work on “The Expanse” and “Swimming with Sharks.” In this episode, Maxine worked closely with Reenie, checking on the missing witness and pushing forward with the legal case even as threats escalated.

New Faces in “Chain of Custody”
Karrie Drake appeared in the episode, though details about her specific role were limited in preview materials.
Joanna Gaskell also joined the cast for this episode as a guest performer.
The Story Behind the Episode
The episode’s plot focused on a lawsuit against Prater and Rockwell, a corrupt real estate development company. Reenie and Maxine represented clients in this case, but someone kidnapped their key witness named Curtis the night before the trial.
Colter discovered a crime scene at Curtis’s home, including blood evidence and a missing knife. He found a dead body at the property, but it was not Curtis. The dead man turned out to be an intruder with a criminal record who worked for a trucking company.

The situation grew more complicated when Colter learned that Lowell Parker of the Dixie Mafia was actually behind the witness’s disappearance. Curtis had worked for Parker years ago before changing his name and going into hiding. The lawsuit brought unwanted attention that exposed Curtis’s location.
The episode ended with a dramatic showdown where Colter rescued both Curtis and his kidnapped stepdaughter Jackie. Colter shot and killed Parker to save Jackie’s life. In a final scene, Reenie and Maxine confronted Devon, one of the defense attorneys, forcing him to agree to a settlement by threatening to report his unethical behavior to the bar association.
