In the latest episode of Tulsa King, Dwight Manfredi’s fight for Tulsa takes a explosive turn. An unexpected alliance between his enemies leads to a bomb threat at a crowded political event, forcing Dwight into a desperate race against time. The episode, titled “Nothing Is Over,” sees Dwight capture the dangerous bombmaker Deacon after a clever double-cross, but not before a deadly plan is set in motion.
Dwight’s Enemy Gains a Powerful New Ally
The episode begins with a significant win for Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone). With Attorney General Sackrider now under his influence, the Montague Distillery is officially back in business. However, this victory is short-lived. Dwight’s main rival, Jeremiah Dunmire (Robert Patrick), is released from his brief time in jail and is immediately approached by an unexpected visitor: the bombmaker, Deacon.
Deacon had originally been hired by Dwight to kill Jeremiah. Instead, he tells Jeremiah that he no longer trusts Dwight and wants to switch sides. He proposes an alliance to not only kill Dwight but to destroy everyone close to him. A pleased Jeremiah tells him, “You showed up at the right time”, setting a devastating new plan in motion.
A Double-Cross and a Dangerous Interrogation
Unaware of this new pact, Dwight arranges a meeting with Deacon. He also brings in FBI Agent Musso, to whom Dwight reveals a key deduction: he knows that Musso was the one who took Bill Bevilaqua and framed Dwight for it. Musso admits he took Bevilaqua because the gangster was going to interfere with Dwight’s operations.
Their partnership is tense. Musso wants Deacon arrested and brought to justice for killing his partner in a past bombing. Dwight argues for a more permanent, mafia-style solution. At the meet-up, Musso insists Dwight wear a wire, but Dwight immediately drops the listening device on the ground. He then walks into a trap, but it’s his own. As Deacon pulls a gun, Dwight’s crew, Mitch and Bigfoot, surround the bombmaker.
“Didn’t expect to be on the wrong end of the double cross,” Deacon admits as he is captured. Dwight’s team takes him to the Montague family mausoleum, where they interrogate and torture him for information.
A Warning from an Unlikely Source
Meanwhile, a political fundraiser for gubernatorial candidate Carl Thresher is underway at the Delmore Grand Hotel, organized by Margaret. Unseen by any security, Deacon had earlier planted a bomb in the hotel before his meeting with Dwight.
The plot is accidentally uncovered because of Cole Dunmire’s feelings for Spencer. Cole overhears his father gloating about hurting people close to Dwight and grows worried for Spencer’s safety. He goes to her and warns her that Jeremiah plans to “blow up people close to Dwight in a hotel.” Spencer tells Tyson, who immediately deduces that the political event is the target and calls Dwight.
A Race Against Time
With this new information, Dwight confirms the bomb’s location with a beaten Deacon, who reveals it is set to detonate at 10 PM. Dwight then makes a decisive choice, burying Deacon alive in a casket within the crypt. He then races to the hotel with Mitch and alerts Musso.
They arrive with only minutes to spare. A frantic evacuation begins, with Dwight desperately searching for Margaret. He finds her just in time and gets her to safety. As the last people clear the building, the bomb explodes, violently blowing out the hotel’s windows and sending Mitch flying onto the concrete. He is later seen being loaded into an ambulance, injured but alive.
The Aftermath of the Blast
The episode ends with the immediate consequences of the thwarted attack. While Margaret and Thresher are safe, many of Dwight’s associates have now seen him working directly with FBI Agent Musso, raising questions about his alliances. Furthermore, because the bomb plot was only stopped due to Cole’s warning, Jeremiah is likely to discover that his own son betrayed him.
The explosion marks a major escalation in the war between Dwight and Jeremiah, proving that for Dwight Manfredi, nothing is ever truly over.
