TWICE’s latest teaser for their upcoming album FOUR has sparked a heated debate online. Many fans claim the group copied BLACKPINK member Jennie’s look from her solo track Zen. The controversy centers on the outfits, styling, and even the music vibe.

The teaser, titled BLUE, shows all nine TWICE members in matching royal blue miniskirts, cropped tops, and high heels. The word FOUR is printed across their outfits. Some fans instantly noticed similarities with Jennie’s Zen concept, where she wore a blue outfit with thigh-high socks and white braided hair.

“I thought I was listening to Jennie’s song,” one fan tweeted. Another wrote, “Really, c’mon.” Critics say TWICE’s styling feels too close to Jennie’s iconic look. Some even compared the teaser’s instrumental to Zen, calling it “uninspired.”

However, TWICE supporters argue the accusations are exaggerated. Fans shared old photos of TWICE wearing similar blue outfits in 2017, long before Jennie’s Zen era. One tweet read, “You’re just comparing blue skirts btw. BY THAT LOGIC.” Others pointed out that blue is a common color in K-pop and not exclusive to Jennie.

The debate has divided K-pop fans. Some believe TWICE borrowed too much from Jennie’s concept, while others say the similarities are coincidental. TWICE’s agency, JYP Entertainment, has not commented on the issue.

FOUR is TWICE’s first full album since 2021’s Formula of Love. The group has been preparing for this comeback for months, with some songs reportedly taking years to finalize. The album drops in July, and fans are excited despite the controversy.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie released Zen earlier this year as part of her solo album Ruby. The song and its styling became instant hits, making comparisons inevitable. Some netizens joked, “Everyone wants to become LIKE JENNIE.”

TWICE and BLACKPINK are two of the biggest girl groups in K-pop. Both have massive global fanbases, so any perceived rivalry sparks intense discussions. This isn’t the first time a K-pop act has been accused of copying another, but fans hope the focus shifts back to the music.
