Welcome To The Jungle, the upcoming Bollywood comedy starring Akshay Kumar, has received its censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The board granted the film a U/A 16+ certificate after asking the makers to implement multiple cuts and modifications across both dialogue and visual content. The censor certificate was issued on June 20, 2026, clearing the way for the film’s theatrical release on June 26, 2026.
The modifications include removal of sensual bikini visuals featuring Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez, deletion of a dialogue referencing “Paani of Kashmir,” and replacement of military terminology and certain comedic lines. Despite the extensive changes, the final certified runtime stands at 164.50 minutes (2 hours, 44 minutes and 50 seconds).
Visual Cuts and Bikini Scene Deletions
The CBFC ordered significant visual modifications to the film. According to the official cut list, the makers were instructed to “delete and replace sensual bikini visuals, close-up of woman hip passing visuals and hip movement visuals in the song wherever they occurred.” The board specifically mentioned that sensual visuals featuring Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez have been deleted from the final print.
Additionally, a “vulgar” hand gesture visual was replaced with a close-up shot of actor Vindu Dara Singh. These visual edits reflect the CBFC’s increased scrutiny of glamorous content in films seeking a U/A certificate.
Dialogue Modifications and Kashmir Reference Removed
Several dialogue changes were made to address concerns over political sensitivity and crude language. A notable modification involved the removal of a dialogue mentioning “Paani of Kashmir.” The line “Yaad karo kurbani, munh mein bhar lo paani” was replaced with “Jo shaheed hone ja raha tha, uske munh mein bhar lo paani.”
Other dialogue modifications include:
- “Kaala paida hua hai, koyla hai” changed to “saadah paida hua hai, namoona hua hai”
- “Aandha” replaced with “dheela”
- “Izzat le lo” changed to “Yeh aapke saath jaane koโฆ”
- “Azarudden” replaced with “Allaudin”
- “desh ki tatti” deleted entirely
- “screwed” replaced with suitable alternatives in two instances
- A 10-second scene containing the words “na diya” removed
Military-related terminology was also altered. “Gorkha Regiment” was replaced with “Tum army se ho?” and the word “General” was substituted with “Officer” and “Sir” wherever it appeared in the film.
