lKorean weekend television delivered sharply contrasting results on October 11, 2026, as tvN’s newest spy romance climbed to its highest viewership yet while KBS2’s relationship drama fell to its lowest point since premiering.
Kim You-jung and Park Jin-young‘s new series 100 Days of Deception recorded a nationwide average rating of 7.6 percent for its second episode, according to Nielsen Korea. The figure marks a 2.3 percentage point increase from the premiere’s 5.3 percent and secured the top spot in its time slot across all cable channels. Meanwhile, Seo Kang-joon and Ahn Eun-jin‘s A Love Other Than Yours dropped to 1.9 percent, the lowest rating the KBS2 weekend drama has seen since its September 12 debut.
What Happened In Episode 2 Of 100 Days Of Deception
The second episode centered on an assassination plot targeting Sato Shinichi, played by Jin Seon-kyu, the Japanese Government-General’s political affairs director. Yoo So-ran (Kim Hyun-joo), the leader of an independence group, had waited 13 years for the opportunity. The plan fell apart when Sato Shinichi brought his adopted son Sato Hideo (Park Jin-young) along.
A second assassin named Geum Seok-jung (Kam Woo-sung), disguised as a cake delivery worker, opened fire on Sato Shinichi and exchanged gunshots with Sato Hideo. Suzuki (Kim Do-hyun) was shot and collapsed during the chaos. Geum Seok-jung found himself cornered but escaped through a window after Yoo So-ran hesitated when their eyes met.
“금석중이라는 자입니다. 13년 동안 소식을 몰랐던… 찾을 수만 있다면 찾아 죽이고 싶었던 제 남편입니다.” (He is Geum Seok-jung. My husband, whose whereabouts I did not know for 13 years… the man I wanted to find and kill if I could.)
The line revealed that Geum Seok-jung and Yoo So-ran are married, adding a personal layer to the political conflict. The episode also introduced Lee Ga-kyung (Kim You-jung), Gyeongseong’s top pickpocket, who got caught hiding at the scene and was detained by police. Sato Hideo intervened by testifying that she had saved both him and the political affairs director. The episode ended with Sato Hideo finding Lee Ga-kyung at a Jongno pawnshop, grabbing her by the waist, and saying, “I caught you, pickpocket.”
A Love Other Than Yours Slips Below 2 Percent
The October 11 episode of A Love Other Than Yours brought in 1.9 percent nationwide, down from the previous episode’s 2.3 percent. This is the first time the drama has fallen below the 2 percent mark. The series has now completed 8 of its 14 planned episodes. Its highest rating to date remains 2.8 percent, recorded during its second episode. Despite the low domestic television numbers, the show has performed well internationally on Prime Video, ranking among the platform’s top 10 shows in 35 countries and reaching No. 1 in Thailand and Indonesia.
The eighth episode focused on Namgoong Ho (Seo Kang-joon) and Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin), a couple who have been together for 10 years. They mutually suggested dating other people for one month. Lee Mi-do approached Han Tae-seung (Lee Joo-ahn) with the proposal, while Namgoong Ho asked Park Su-a (Jo Aram) if he could be curious about her.
