The popular superhero college show Gen V will not return for a third season on Prime Video. The streaming platform made the decision to end the series after two seasons, and the news came six months after the second season finished in October 2025. London Thor, who played the female version of the gender-shifting character Jordan Li, shared an emotional message with fans following the cancellation. The actress expressed her deep gratitude for the experience while also saying goodbye to her role. She joins other cast members who have publicly responded to the show’s end.

London Thor Shares Her Feelings After The Show Ends

London Thor did not hold back her emotions when she heard the news about Gen V not continuing. She took to her Instagram account and wrote a short but powerful message to her followers. The actress said that being part of this series changed her life in a big way. She then said goodbye to her character Jordan and thanked everyone for the journey. Her words showed how much the role meant to her personally and professionally. Fans of the show quickly showed their support for Thor and other cast members online.

“This show changed my life. So long Jordan. Thank you for everything.”

Other Cast Members Also Respond To The Cancellation

London Thor was not the only star from Gen V to speak out after the cancellation news broke. Jaz Sinclair, who played the lead role of Marie Moreau, also shared her thoughts with fans on her Instagram Story. She promised that she has more things to say about this decision in the future. But for that day, she simply wanted to express her thanks from the bottom of her heart. She said she feels very happy that the fans stayed with the show and that she is grateful for the whole experience.

“There’s so much I wanna (and will) say, but for today I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so happy you’re here and I’m so grateful for this incredible experience.”

Maddie Phillips, who played the mind-controlling character Cate Dunlap, also posted a response. She shared a behind-the-scenes video from the set of the show. Her caption was short and positive, telling everyone to live, laugh, love, and that she will see them later. All the actors seemed to focus on the good parts of their time on the show instead of showing anger about the cancellation.

What The Producers Say About The Future Of These Characters

Even though Gen V will not make more episodes, the people in charge of The Boys universe say this is not the end for these characters. Executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg released a joint statement about the show’s future. They said they wish they could keep the party going for another season at Godolkin University, where the show takes place. But they also promised that they are committed to continuing the Gen V characters’ stories in other places. The fifth and final season of The Boys will include these characters. The producers also said that other VCU projects on the way will feature them as well. They ended their statement with a simple promise: fans will see these characters again.

“While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we’re committed to continuing the Gen V characters’ stories in The Boys Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. You’ll see them again.”

What This Means For The Bigger The Boys Universe

The cancellation of Gen V comes at a busy time for The Boys franchise on Prime Video. The main show, The Boys, is currently airing its fifth and final season, which will end on May 20, 2026. Some Gen V cast members, including London Thor and Jaz Sinclair, have already appeared in the final season of the parent show. This helps connect the stories together before both shows end their runs.

A new prequel show called Vought Rising is also on the way, and it is set to premiere sometime in 2027. That show will bring back Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash as Stormfront, and it will take place in the 1950s. Another spin-off called The Boys: Mexico is still being developed, but there is no release date for that project yet. So even though Gen V is ending, the overall universe is not going away.

The Show’s Performance Across Two Seasons

Gen V first arrived on Prime Video in September 2023 and got strong reviews from both critics and viewers. The first season did very well in the ratings. It reached the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 with 374 million minutes viewed in its first few weeks after release. The second season came out in September 2025 and did even better numbers. It clocked 424 million minutes viewed and reached the number eight spot in the Top 10. The show was based loosely on the We Gotta Go Now comic book story arc by Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and John Higgins. The story followed young supes, short for superheroes, as they attended Godolkin University School of Crimefighting and discovered dark secrets about the school and Vought International.
