Olivia Rodrigo Pulls Double Duty as Both Host and Musical Guest
The 23-year-old Grammy winner is making her hosting debut tonight. Rodrigo previously appeared on SNL twice as a musical guest in 2021 and 2023. Now she joins a list of artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Harry Styles who have done double duty on the show.
Rodrigo recently talked about the opportunity on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She said hosting SNL has always been a big goal for her.
“I’m so, so excited. It’s always been a huge dream of mine, and so I’m so grateful that Lorne let me do it. Getting to be there and with all of the funniest people on the planet and just, like, having fun and making jokes all day, it’s literally a dream, and I’m just so honored.”
Fans can expect to hear two songs from Rodrigo during the episode. One of them will be a track nobody has heard before. Her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, releases on June 12.
