The hit Disney+ Korean superhero series Moving has officially started production on its second season, bringing back most of its beloved cast members. Han Hyo Joo and Zo In Sung will reprise their roles as the powerful parents protecting their gifted children. However, the sequel will move forward without one key young star, leaving fans with mixed emotions about the new direction.
Production for Moving Season 2 began in May 2026, according to announcements from the streaming platform. The show became a massive global hit when it first released in August 2023, breaking records as the most viewed Korean original on Disney+ and Hulu that year. Now, the creative team is ready to continue the story of super-powered agents and their families.
Lee Jung Ha Steps Away to Serve in the Marine Corps
The biggest change for the upcoming season involves actor Lee Jung Ha, who played the sweet-natured flying teen Kim Bong-seok in the first season. Lee will not return for the sequel because he is entering mandatory military service.
His agency, Namoo Actors, confirmed in December 2025 that the actor applied to the Marine Corps and was accepted. Lee Jung Ha will begin his duty on January 26, 2026, joining the Marine Corps Education and Training Group. Due to the nature of enlistment day, the agency asked for understanding as no public event would be held.
“We are beyond grateful for the love and support you show actor Lee Jung Ha, and we kindly request your continued support until he faithfully completes his military service and returns as a more mature individual.” – Namoo Actors Statement
Lee Jung Ha won Best Newcomer Actor at the Busan International Film Festival’s Asia Content Awards for his role in the first season, making his absence even more noticeable for viewers who connected with his performance.
A New Actor Steps into the Flying Hero Role
With Lee Jung Ha unavailable due to his service dates, the production team has cast rising star Won Gyu-bin to take over the role of Kim Bong-seok.
Won Gyu-bin is known for his work in dramas like Bitch X Rich and See You at Work Tomorrow!. He joins an already impressive lineup of returning cast members. Many viewers are curious to see how this new actor will bring his own style to a character that fans already love.
Returning Cast Brings the Family Back Together
The parent generation remains mostly intact for the second season. Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Zo In Sung, and Kim Sung Kyun are all confirmed to return. These actors played the secret agents hiding their super-powered pasts while raising children with similar abilities.
The younger cast members are also back in full force. Go Youn Jung returns as Hui Soo, Kim Do Hoon returns as Gang Hoon, and Shim Dal Gi is also confirmed for the sequel. Cha Tae Hyun, Ryu Seung Bum, Moon Sung Geun, Kim Jong Soo, Park Byung Eun, Kim Shin Rok, Lee Ho Jung, and Kim Hee Won are among the supporting actors returning as well.
New Faces Join the Superhero World
The sequel is also bringing in fresh talent to expand the story. Sol Kyung-gu, Lee Hee Jun, Roh Yoon Seo, and Ryu Hye Young are joining the cast as new characters. The addition of experienced actors like Sol Kyung-gu has raised expectations for the action and emotional depth of the new season.
What the Second Season Will Cover
Moving Season 2 picks up right after the Jeongwon High School incident, the major battle between North and South Korean agents that ended the first season. The characters try to return to normal everyday lives, but new threats emerge that force them to use their powers again to protect those they care about.
Creator Kang Full, who wrote the original webtoon that inspired the series, returns as the writer for the second season. He is also getting help behind the camera. Kim Seong-hun, known for directing the zombie series Kingdom, is joining the production team.
“With the first season, my goal was to establish a new benchmark for Korean superhero narratives. For the second, I intend to raise that bar even higher, evolving the series into something truly exceptional.” – Kang Full, Show Creator
