Ishaan Khatter has been building his international profile step by step. He made his acting debut in 2018 with “Beyond The Clouds.” Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi directed the film. In 2020, he starred opposite Tabu in Mira Nair’s British series “A Suitable Boy.” The show received worldwide attention.
He also appeared in a cameo role in the 2021 Hollywood film “Don’t Look Up.” The movie featured Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. His 2025 film “Homebound” was selected as India’s official entry for the Oscars. It even made it to the shortlist. The movie “Une Jeunesse Indienne” by Neeraj Ghaywan premiered at Cannes in 2025.

Ishaan Khatter received another big honor recently. He was given honorary membership of the 45 Cavalry of the Indian Armoured Corps. This was for his role as an army officer in the 2023 war drama “Pippa.”
“The honour of a lifetime to be conferred upon an honorary membership of 45 Cavalry of the Indian Armoured Corps – which I may now proudly call my regiment! There is no bigger acknowledgment and I only hope to always be reliably and humbly in service in any which way I can be to the bravest and most honourable members of the Indian army,” Khatter wrote on social media.
On the work front, Ishaan Khatter is busy with “Jugaadu.” It is an upcoming film directed by Palash Vaswani. He shared his first look from the film on Instagram earlier this month. He described it as a “fun-filled comic caper” and a “riot of an entertainer”. He will also appear in the next season of the Netflix series “The Royals.”
