The latest episode of Rick and Morty Season 9 throws out the emotional weight of the first two episodes and replaces it with parking lot brawls, deadly kung fu techniques, and a pool cleaner that gets a little too friendly with Jerry Smith. Episode 3, titled Rick Fu Hustle, aired on June 7, 2026, and brings back the absurd humor fans love. The episode focuses on two things: Rick’s stubborn refusal to apologize after a minor car accident, and Jerry’s bizarre relationship with a household robot.

Rick’s Big Ego Causes a Deadly Parking Lot Fight

The episode begins with a simple fender bender. Rick and Morty are grabbing supplies before heading to “Boob World.” Rick backs his spaceship into another car in a Trader Joe’s parking lot. The other driver is an old martial arts master named Liu Sin. Rick insults him by calling him an “NPC” (non-player character) and refuses to exchange insurance information. Liu Sin responds by hitting Rick with the Five-Point Exploding Heart Technique, the deadliest punch in martial arts. Anyone hit by it can only take five steps forward before their heart explodes.

Morty begs Rick to apologize so Liu Sin will remove the curse. Rick refuses. He decides to cheat instead of saying sorry. Rick spends the rest of the episode walking backward to avoid taking five steps forward. He builds special suits, makes copies of himself, and runs countless science experiments to undo the technique. Morty gets fed up with Rick’s ego and leaves. He finds Liu Sin and asks to learn kung fu. Things turn dark when Liu Sin kills a cable guy using the same deadly technique just for asking about extra charges. Then Liu Sin hits Morty with the punch too. This forces Rick to finally get serious about stopping Liu Sin instead of just protecting himself.

Jerry’s Pool Problem Turns Into a Romantic Mess

While Rick and Morty fight for their lives, Jerry deals with a problem at home. Beth is angry because the family pool is dirty. Jerry refuses to call a professional named Keith to clean it because it makes him feel weak. He buys a pool cleaning robot instead. After watching online videos, Jerry gets the robot working. He calls Beth to tell her the good news, but she ignores him because she is busy with surgery.

Feeling lonely and ignored, Jerry finds comfort with the pool robot. The episode shows Jerry having an intimate moment with the machine. Jerry later regrets it. He finally calls Keith to clean the pool. But the pool robot gets jealous. It floods the entire house and tries to attack Keith. Jerry and Keith have to work together to stop the angry machine.

The Big Fight and a Surprising Team Up

Rick and Morty visit Liu Sin’s old teacher, Gerg Jergins, to find a cure. They help him fix his relationship with his daughter. In return, Gerg Jergins removes the death punch from both of them. Rick and Morty go back to fight Liu Sin. Right when the fight reaches its peak, a massive ancient god named Punchy appears. Punchy creates a huge beast called Punchenhimer that has a million pressure points. The beast attacks everyone.

Liu Sin finally admits the truth. He backed his car into Rick’s spaceship on purpose. He is just a lonely old man who wanted to make friends. Rick, Morty, and Liu Sin join forces to fight Punchenhimer. They win the battle together. Jerry and Keith also stop the pool robot. Jerry promises to never get intimate with a machine again.
