Prime Video has given fans of The Boys one last reason to smile. The streaming platform released an official blooper reel from the fifth and final season, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the cast and crew having fun on set.
One Last Laugh for Fans
The TheBoysTV social media account shared the blooper reel on June 20, 2026, inviting fans to enjoy the outtakes. The release comes a month after the series finale, “Blood and Bone,” premiered on Prime Video on May 20, 2026.
The video shows cast members Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Karl Urban, Antony Starr, and others fumbling lines and laughing during the filming of the final season. The reel starts with Quaid and Moriarty filming the finale’s closing moments inside Hughie’s new store, struggling with a prop ginger ale before setting the tone for the rest of the chaotic footage.
The social media post featured the caption, “Ladies and gents, may we present the final blooper reel. Go on, have a giggle.” Fans quickly responded with nostalgia, with one viewer on X writing, “I miss my spice girls so bad.”
Final Season Performance and Reception
The fifth season performed strongly despite mixed reactions to the finale. The season achieved 57 million global viewers per episode, making it the most watched season in the franchise’s history. It posted the largest three-week ratings Prime Video has ever recorded, with the series now surpassing 50 billion total minutes watched.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the final season received a 93% critics score but a divided 49% audience score, showing a gap between critical and viewer reception. Some fans called the finale a “mess,” while others named it their favorite season of the entire run.
Showrunner Eric Kripke addressed the criticism, telling TVLine:
“We have way north of 60 million viewers, so that makes the online storm, which feels very all-encompassing, actually a fraction of a single percentage point. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, of course, and I’m sorry if I disappointed you, but it was the story I wanted to tell. You just have to put it into perspective of it being a reasonably small, vocal audience when the vast majority seem to be happily tuning in.”
