So Ji Sub is set to make a return to the small screen in the upcoming action revenge drama Agent Kim Reactivated. The show has released a new preview that offers a sweet and funny look at his character’s everyday life as a dad before everything changes.

The preview shows Manager Kim, played by So Ji Sub, living a very ordinary life. He works as the manager at a small bank. His whole world revolves around his teenage daughter, Min Ji, played by Seo Su Min. This is a big change from his hidden past as a dangerous secret agent.

A Glimpse into Manager Kim’s Ordinary Life

The newly released preview clip gives fans a peek at the father-daughter relationship. The scene starts with Min Ji coming out of her bedroom at night. She finds her father asleep on the sofa with the TV still on.

Min Ji wakes him up and tells him to go to his room. As the sleepy Manager Kim gets up, Min Ji starts to tell him something. She says, “Dad, earlier, Iโ€ฆ” but he interrupts her. He says, “Oh, I didn’t do the dishes.”

This makes Min Ji annoyed. She exclaims that he can do them in the morning and to hurry up and go to his room. He agrees and tells her to go to sleep too.

The next morning, Manager Kim wakes up to his alarm. He is surprised to find that Min Ji has already washed all the dishes. He smiles, looking impressed, and asks, “What’s the deal?” His reaction suggests this kind of help from his daughter is not an everyday thing.

The preview shows the warmth and gentle bickering between them. So Ji Sub’s character is a caring dad who tries his best. This sweet moment contrasts sharply with his hidden identity.

The Calm Before the Storm

So Ji Sub is known for his intense roles in dramas like The Master’s Sun and Oh My Venus. In Agent Kim Reactivated, he shows a softer side as a doting father. His character wears a floral apron to cook for his daughter. He irons her school uniform and wakes her up for school.

The production team has said these warm, relatable scenes are important. They build up the story for the big changes to come. The drama is based on a popular webtoon.

An Action-Packed Father’s Mission

The story takes a dark turn when Min Ji disappears. Manager Kim is forced to leave his ordinary life behind. He must use his deadly skills from the past to find his daughter.

Other trailers have shown his dramatic transformation. He goes from a simple bank manager to a man ready for war. In one scene, he tears off his shirt to reveal scars and a muscular physique.

His character delivers chilling warnings to those who stand in his way. In one trailer, he says, “I’m only letting you live because I believe my daughter is still alive. Otherwise, you’d all be dead.” He also has help from two friends, played by Choi Dae Hoon and Yoon Kyung Ho, who are also fathers with hidden skills.
