According to data from Nielsen Korea, the second episode of Agent Kim Reactivated pulled in an average nationwide rating of 15.7 percent. This is a massive jump from its premiere episode, which already started strong with a 9.5 percent rating, the highest debut for any miniseries in 2026.
The show’s performance did not stop there. It recorded a peak rating of 18.1% during the broadcast and also performed well with younger viewers. In the key 20 to 49 age demographic, the show achieved an average rating of 5.8 percent, proving its wide appeal beyond just traditional television audiences.
This success puts the drama in a league of its own. Not only did it beat competing shows in the same time slot, but it also became the highest-rated SBS drama of 2026 so far, dominating the weekend lineup.
What is Agent Kim Reactivated About?
The drama is based on a popular webtoon called Manager Kim and tells the story of Kim Do-hyeon, played by So Ji Sub. He is a quiet, mild-mannered single father working as a manager at a savings bank. He seems like just another regular office worker. However, he has a dangerous past as an elite secret agent, known as Codename 66, who was once on North Korea’s most wanted list.
Kim gives up his violent past to live a peaceful life and raise his daughter, Min-ji, alone. But when his daughter goes missing under mysterious circumstances, he is forced to “reactivate” his deadly skills. He must use his old training and abilities to save her, putting everything on the line in the process.
The show mixes intense action with a heavy dose of emotional family drama. Audiences are responding to the high-stakes story of a father who will do anything to protect his child. Co-stars include Choi Dae Hoon, Yoon Kyung Ho, Joo Sang Wook, and Son Na Eun.
