The drama inside the Lock Upp jail has reached a new high. The second season of the reality show, which premiered on June 27, 2026, has already seen its fair share of fights and controversies. The latest twist came when former host Kangana Ranaut made a surprise entry on the show as ‘Janta Ki Awaaz’. She did not hold back and gave a tough reality check to popular television actor Ram Kapoor.

Kangana directly questioned the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor about his attitude. She asked him why he even agreed to be on the show if he believed he was above it all.

Kangana’s Harsh Reality Check for Ram

Kangana Ranaut entered the show alongside current hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. Her role was to evaluate the contestants’ performance in the first few days. She quickly zeroed in on Ram Kapoor.

She addressed him directly in a mix of Hindi and English, saying, “Ram, game ko seriously nahi lena tha, aur agar lagta hain ki you are too big for this jail toh aap aayein ho kyu? Apni ye fuhadpan dikhane ke liye.” This translates to: “If you do not want to take this show seriously, then why bother to come? Just to act cheap?”

Ram tried to defend himself. He told her, “When the right time comes, I will own my truth as well and as better than anybody here.” But Kangana was not satisfied with his answer. She fired back with a warning that has now become a talking point.

“Don’t defend yourself if you want to improve,” she told him firmly.

This confrontation is set to be fully shown in the upcoming episode, scheduled to air next week. The promo itself has already created a massive buzz on social media.

Farah Khan Also Called Out His ‘Background Actor’ Behavior

Ram Kapoor’s attitude has been a topic of discussion since day one. Before Kangana’s arrival, Farah Khan had already given him a similar reality check.

During a segment called “chargesheet,” Farah pointed out an interesting flaw in Ram’s game. She noted that while Ram is usually the main lead in his television shows, he has faded into the background inside the Lock Upp house.

“I want to ask you, in every show you do, you’re playing the lead. But after coming here, you have become a background actor,” Farah told him.

Ram did not take this criticism well. He casually raised his hand as if to stop her from speaking. He even said he would not change his personality for the show, telling the hosts, “Toh nikaal do. I am not going to change. I am the way I am.”

Ram’s Infidelity Comments Spark Outrage Among Viewers

The criticism against Ram Kapoor is not just about his gameplay. He has also faced severe backlash for his personal views expressed inside the house.

During an argument with fellow contestant Akanksha Chamola, Ram defended cheating in marriage. He stated that infidelity should not be a deal-breaker if a person truly loves their partner.

He said, “If you really love your partner, nothing is a dealbreaker. Marriage is hard and it’s a journey. You have to work at your marriage every day. There are highs and lowsโ€ฆ In a bad phase, if by mistake something happens, and you can’t live without your partner or your children, then time heals everything and nothing is a dealbreaker.”

Akanksha Chamola strongly disagreed with him. She argued that physical intimacy cannot happen by accident. “You are physically intimate with someone. That’s a process. You have to take somebody’s clothes offโ€ฆ You cannot say it’s a mistake,” she countered.

Her response won praise from many social media users who were disappointed by Ram’s remarks. One user commented, “Ram Kapoor out here justifying cheating and then saying, ‘Glti se ho jata hai.’ I just can’t with this man. But I really liked that Akanksha took a stand.”

A Look at Ram’s Other Controversial Moments on the Show

This is not the first time Ram Kapoor has found himself in trouble this season. He has been involved in several other incidents that have drawn criticism.

  • Water Task Protest: In the first week, Ram halted a task to demand drinking water. He stood in the middle of the task area and challenged host Riteish Deshmukh, saying “Maaro mujhe” (hit me) when warned about paintballs. Viewers called his behavior “entitled” and pointed out that he “wouldn’t dare to do all this in front of Salman Khan.”
  • Gang-Rpe Remark: Before the show started, Ram had a controversial history. He previously compared his busy promotional schedule to “feeling gang-rped.” Fellow contestant Shreya Kalra questioned him about this comment inside the house. Ram brushed it off as his “sense of humor,” leading to further criticism online.
