The Remarried Empress is a 10-part fantasy romance adapted from a Naver webtoon that has drawn nearly three billion views worldwide. The series stars Shin Mina as Empress Navier of the Eastern Kingdom, Ju Jihoon as Emperor Sovieshu, Lee Jong Suk as Crown Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom, and Lee Se-young as Rashta, an escaped slave who becomes the center of the emperor’s pursuit.

The story follows Navier, whose marriage to Sovieshu collapses after he falls for Rashta. Rather than accept disgrace, Navier agrees to a divorce on one condition: permission to marry Crown Prince Heinrey of the rival Western Kingdom. What follows is a struggle over love, dignity, and power that threatens to destabilize the entire kingdom.

Lee Jong Suk described his role as a rare opportunity. “I thought it could be a big piece of fan service. I also wondered if I would ever get another chance to play a prince like this,” he said during promotional interviews.

The actor also picked “the most intense flutter that comes to all four people” as the key viewing point, adding that the grand imperial palace setting offers fun rarely seen in Korean dramas.

Disney+ has reportedly made this its costliest Korean production to date, with filming across multiple locations including European palaces. The series had its world premiere at the 31st Busan International Film Festival in October, where three of its 10 episodes screened as part of the festival’s On Screen selection.

Release schedule: Four episodes arrive on November 4, followed by two new episodes every Wednesday until the finale on November 25.

Where to watch: The series streams on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in international territories. It is not available on Disney+ in India.

Park Min Young Returns to Office Romance in Nine to Six on Prime Video

Premiere date: November 25, 2026

Park Min Young is back in familiar territory with Nine to Six, a 12-episode office romantic comedy that puts career ambitions and personal feelings on a collision course.

She plays Kang Yi-ji, a senior legal manager at Chronic Motors who has built her reputation through discipline and competence in a male-dominated workplace. Her carefully planned life takes an unexpected turn when two men with contrasting personalities enter her world: Han Sun-woo (played by Yook Sung-jae), a warm-hearted legal intern who follows his convictions, and Park Hyun-tae (played by Go Soo), a polished executive who recognizes her abilities.

The series is written by Choi Ji-oh and directed by Lee Hyung-min and Oh Song-hee. It is described as an “on-and-off waterball romance” about a logical woman who meets an emotional man and rewrites her standards for work, love, and happiness.

Park Min Young‘s character is described by the production team as “a relatable character who repeatedly grapples with the balance between work and love.” The team added that her portrayal “will maximize both excitement and relatability.”

Son Suk Ku Leads a Cross-Border Manhunt in The Blue Road on Netflix

Premiere date: November 20, 2026

The Blue Road is an eight-episode crime thriller that pairs Son Suk Ku with Japanese actor Eita Nagayama as detectives from two countries chasing what appears to be a single serial killer operating across borders.

Son Suk Ku plays Kim Seok, a detective from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Mobile Investigation Unit. Eita plays Inose, his counterpart from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. The case begins with a mutilated body in Tokyo carrying a message written in blood in Korean, followed by a disfigured corpse in Korea with a message in Japanese.

The series is directed by Han Jun-hee, known for the Netflix series D.P. and the film Coin Locker Girl, and is adapted from a Korean-Japanese co-produced webcomic.

Son Suk Ku spoke about the natural chemistry with his co-star. “We shot our first scene on a set in Japan. The moment we exchanged our first lines, I felt something was different,” he said. “I went to the director and said, ‘I think I can just trust this guy and go with it.’”

The first three episodes received a festival screening at the 31st Busan International Film Festival, where the series drew praise for its intense direction and the lead actors’ chemistry.
