Rimuru Earns the Loyalty of the Primordials
After Diablo brought the three demons to Tempest, it was up to Rimuru to convince them to serve him. He could have used force to show his dominance. Instead, Rimuru chose a calmer approach.
With the help of Raphael, Rimuru made it clear that Diablo’s admiration for him was not misplaced. This moment captured the strength of the show. Rimuru rarely chooses the path of dominance when gaining loyalty. People end up loving him because of his kindness, intelligence, and unbelievable power. Eventually, they choose to be loyal to him.
The Primordials swore loyalty to Rimuru after he revealed his power, which was stronger than theirs.
Rimuru Names the Primordials and Creates the Black Numbers
One of the biggest moments in the episode came when Rimuru gave names to the three Primordial Demons. Jaune became Carrera, Blanc became Testarossa, and Violet became Ultima.
Because of this naming, they evolved into higher lifeforms and became Demon Peers. Rimuru also named their 700 other subordinates, including demons like Veyron, Zonda, and Venom. All of them evolved into Demon Peers and became Rimuru’s army of demons: the Black Numbers.

What Happened Before Episode 14
Episode 13 set the stage for Diablo’s return. It was a calmer episode with Rimuru handling administrative duties. Veldora went hunting with baby dragon Gaia. Ramiris introduced her secret project of spirit-powered bodies for Dryads and Spirits.
The lazy Demon Lord Dino arrived unannounced but was allowed to stay after being recommended by Guy Crimson. He was given a position as Ramiris’s assistant. Near the end of the episode, Rimuru used some of Veldora’s magic to create a new body for Ifrit. When Ifrit was revived, he came back stronger than before and was able to change his gender.
All of this set up for Diablo’s return in Episode 14.
