The latest episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 delivered one of the most important moments in the series so far. Episode 14, titled “The Black Numbers,” showed Diablo traveling through the Demon Realm to recruit three Primordial Demons for Rimuru Tempest. The episode premiered on July 10, 2026, and fans are already talking about how this changes everything for the nation of Tempest.

This episode did not focus on big battles or intense action. Instead, it gave viewers a closer look at the Demon Realm and introduced three of the most powerful beings in the underworld. Testarossa, Carrera, and Ultima made their official debut, and their arrival in Tempest marks a major turning point for Rimuru’s growing nation.

Diablo’s Mission to Recruit the Primordials

The episode started with Diablo traveling through the Demon Realm. His mission was clear: find fellow Primordial Demons and convince them to serve Rimuru. Diablo did not use simple negotiation tactics. He approached each demon in a way that matched their personality.

First, he met Carrera, also known as the Primordial Jaune. She was not interested in joining at first. Diablo used brute force to get her attention. The two engaged in a hand-to-hand fight. It was a short clash, but it showed viewers just how powerful these demons are. Even though Carrera was strong, Diablo defeated her without much effort.

Next, Diablo visited Ultima, known as Violet. She was busy punishing some demons who had messed with her plans. Diablo convinced her to join Rimuru. Her personality is mischievous, and her introduction stood out from the others.

Finally, Diablo recruited Testarossa, also called Blanc. Her introduction was elegant and calm. She was shown playing the piano, which made her seem intimidating in a quiet way.

All three Primordials felt distinct from each other. They share similar levels of overwhelming power, but their personalities are completely different.

Rimuru Earns the Loyalty of the Primordials

After Diablo brought the three demons to Tempest, it was up to Rimuru to convince them to serve him. He could have used force to show his dominance. Instead, Rimuru chose a calmer approach.

With the help of Raphael, Rimuru made it clear that Diablo’s admiration for him was not misplaced. This moment captured the strength of the show. Rimuru rarely chooses the path of dominance when gaining loyalty. People end up loving him because of his kindness, intelligence, and unbelievable power. Eventually, they choose to be loyal to him.

The Primordials swore loyalty to Rimuru after he revealed his power, which was stronger than theirs.

Rimuru Names the Primordials and Creates the Black Numbers

One of the biggest moments in the episode came when Rimuru gave names to the three Primordial Demons. Jaune became Carrera, Blanc became Testarossa, and Violet became Ultima.

Because of this naming, they evolved into higher lifeforms and became Demon Peers. Rimuru also named their 700 other subordinates, including demons like Veyron, Zonda, and Venom. All of them evolved into Demon Peers and became Rimuru’s army of demons: the Black Numbers.

This moment showed just how much Rimuru has grown. During Season 1, naming only a handful of monsters left him unconscious for days. Now, he casually grants names to hundreds of elite demons with barely any visible strain.

What Happened Before Episode 14

Episode 13 set the stage for Diablo’s return. It was a calmer episode with Rimuru handling administrative duties. Veldora went hunting with baby dragon Gaia. Ramiris introduced her secret project of spirit-powered bodies for Dryads and Spirits.

The lazy Demon Lord Dino arrived unannounced but was allowed to stay after being recommended by Guy Crimson. He was given a position as Ramiris’s assistant. Near the end of the episode, Rimuru used some of Veldora’s magic to create a new body for Ifrit. When Ifrit was revived, he came back stronger than before and was able to change his gender.

All of this set up for Diablo’s return in Episode 14.
