Recap of Kagurabachi Chapter 128
Chapter 128 ended with a lot of tension. The story continued with Masumi attacking Kunishige while he was working on the smelting process. Subaru and Joji tried their best to stop them, but they were no match for Masumi. They had been fighting for a while and were already tired.
One of the most powerful moments in the chapter came when Kunishige refused to take his eyes away from the forge. Even though danger was right in front of him, he kept working. This showed his strong determination to complete the sword he was making.
Shiba, who was badly injured, teleported one of the attackers away and kept fighting. He was inspired by Mashiro’s incredible endurance and pushed himself back into action.
The chapter ended with the battle still going on. Making a mistake was no longer an option for the characters. Fans have described Shiba as the series’ “glitch” because of how hard he is to remove from the battlefield.
What to Expect from Kagurabachi Chapter 129
Chapter 129 is expected to continue right where the previous chapter left off. Several key things could happen in the upcoming installment.
Kunishige might finally complete the first Enchanted Blade. The biggest question is whether he will finish the smelting process. His intense focus on the fire suggests he is close to achieving something that could change the story. The ending of Chapter 128 strongly suggests that Kunishige will get his chance now that Shiba has bought him more time.
Shiba may push his body even further. He has already suffered devastating injuries, but he keeps fighting. In Chapter 129, he will likely prove why he is considered such a threat.
Chiaki’s influence could become more important. The flashback between Kunishige and Chiaki adds an emotional layer to the creation of the Enchanted Blades. Kunishige’s motivation is not just revenge or ambition. His desire to protect Chiaki appears to be one of the main reasons he keeps forging, even though he knows the risks. Chapter 129 could explore more of their relationship and show how Chiaki’s warnings affect Kunishige’s choices.
