Kang Han Na has received a role offer for SBS’s upcoming drama “Pyramid” (working title) and her agency says she is reviewing it positively. Yoon Kye Sang was previously reported as the show’s lead. The project comes from director Park Sun Ho, who directed “Business Proposal” and “Undercover Miss Hong,” and writer Park Kyung Soo, who wrote the Netflix series “The Whirlwind.” The drama is scheduled to air on SBS in 2027 and will also be available on Netflix.
What Pyramid Is About
“Pyramid” tells the story of Lee Jang Hoon, described as the biggest financial fraudster in the nation’s history. The plot follows his rise and his eventual fall, focusing on ambition, financial crime, and the consequences that follow. The drama is planned for a Friday-Saturday slot on SBS. A specific premiere date has not been announced, but the network lists it for 2027, with reports pointing to the first half of the year.
Kang Han Na Reviews the Offer
On October 27, 2026, SPOTV News reported that Kang Han Na received an offer to star in “Pyramid” and had decided to take the role. Her agency, beyond J, responded to the report with a statement.
“She is positively reviewing the offer.”
The agency’s wording shows that talks are still in progress and a final contract has not been signed. Kang Han Na is currently filming tvN’s upcoming drama “Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid,” which is also set to air next year. If she joins “Pyramid,” she will be working on two major projects at the same time.
Yoon Kye Sang Reported for the Lead
Reports in August 2026 said Yoon Kye Sang received an offer to lead “Pyramid” and decided to join after reviewing the script favorably. As of October 27, his agency had not issued a formal response to the casting reports. Yoon Kye Sang began his career as a member of the K-pop group g.o.d before moving into acting. His recent credits include the drama “The Good Detective” and the film “Spiritwalker.”
The Team Behind the Drama
Director Park Sun Ho (also spelled Park Seon-ho) has a track record in popular series. His credits include “Suspicious Partner,” “Business Proposal,” and the 2026 tvN drama “Undercover Miss Hong,” which starred Park Shin-hye and aired from January to March 2026.
Writer Park Kyung Soo is known for darker, crime-focused stories. His previous works include “The Chaser,” “The Empire of Gold,” and the Netflix series “The Whirlwind.” The pairing of a director with romantic-comedy experience and a writer with a crime-drama background gives “Pyramid” a creative foundation that mixes mass appeal with serious subject matter.
