The cast of the upcoming series When the Stars Gossip recently participated in a question-and-answer session. During the session, Han Ji Eun shared a story about how Lee Min Ho‘s friendly behavior helped her feel more comfortable on set.

On December 27, 2024, tvN released a video on their official YouTube channel featuring the cast of When the Stars Gossip: Lee Min Ho, Gong Hyo Jin, Oh Jung Se, and Han Ji Eun. In this video, Han Ji Eun openly admitted she initially felt nervous about working alongside Lee Min Ho, given his prominent status in the entertainment industry. She explained:
“He’s so handsome and a star, so I thought it would be really difficult.”
However, her concerns quickly dissipated when Lee Min Ho took the initiative to approach her and start a friendly conversation. He even pointed out that they are the same age, which further helped break the ice.
Characters and Plot of “When the Stars Gossip”
Han Ji Eun plays Choi Go Eun, the CEO of MZ Electronics and the sole heir of the MZ Group’s chairman. She is also known as the girlfriend of Gong Ryong, played by Lee Min Ho. The trailers and stills released so far suggest their relationship is complex, making their on-screen dynamic an interesting point to watch.
The drama is directed by Park Shin Woo, who also directed It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and written by Seo Sook Hyang, the writer of Don’t Dare to Dream. This romantic comedy takes place in space and follows the unexpected connection between an astronaut and a space tourist who meet at a space station.
Lee Min Ho plays Gong Ryong, an OB-GYN who visits a space station as a tourist. Although his trip seems like a casual vacation, he is secretly on a mission he can’t reveal, adding an element of mystery to his character. Gong Hyo Jin stars as Commander Eve Kim, who is on her first mission as a commander at the space station.
The K-drama is scheduled for release on January 4, 2024.
