SBS’s hit fantasy drama “The Haunted Palace” is racing toward its finale with a shocking twist. King Lee Jeong, played by Kim Ji Hun, has fallen completely under the control of the vengeful Eight Feet Tall spirit, setting the stage for an epic battle in the last two episodes.
New stills released by the drama show King Lee Jeong transformed into a terrifying figure. His face bears burn scars, and his eyes are empty, filled only with hatred. The kind ruler who once cared for his queen and people is gone, replaced by a spirit hungry for revenge.
The Eight Feet Tall spirit has grown stronger after swallowing the Imugi’s glowing pearl, giving it full power over the king’s body. In one image, the possessed king wears a red warrior’s robe, surrounded by flames, ready to unleash chaos. Fans are now wondering if Gangcheori (Yook Sungjae) and Yeo Ri (Kim Ji Yeon) can stop him before it’s too late.
The drama’s production team teased what’s coming next:

Meanwhile, Yoon Gap (Yook Sungjae) briefly returned to his body, only to sacrifice himself again. His emotional goodbye added another layer to the story, leaving fans heartbroken. Now, with the king possessed, the stakes are higher than ever.
