The Story and New Faces in Season 2

One year after the events of the first season, Percy returns to a Camp Half-Blood in crisis. The camp’s protective borders are failing, and his satyr friend Grover is lost on a dangerous mission. To save them both, Percy must travel into the uncharted Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden Fleece.

He won’t be alone on this quest. He is joined by Annabeth Chase and Clarisse La Rue, the competitive daughter of Ares. A major new ally is Percy’s own brother, Tyson, a cyclops who is portrayed by actor Daniel Diemer. The group must face Luke Castellan and the rising power of the Titan Kronos, who threaten to destroy the camp and Olympus itself.

The cast includes several other new additions. Courtney B. Vance takes on the role of Zeus, following the passing of actor Lance Reddick. Tamara Smart plays the demigod Thalia Grace, and singer Andra Day portrays the goddess Athena, Annabeth’s mother. Comedians Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, and Margaret Cho will appear as the mysterious Gray Sisters.

Actor Walker Scobell, who plays Percy, shared his excitement about bringing a key monster from the book to life:

โ€œHe looks awesome, and the whole island looks awesome.โ€
