For the first time in his two-decade career, global K-pop icon G-Dragon is planning a fan meeting in his name alone. The solo event, scheduled for February 2026, will offer a new, more personal way for the artist to connect with his supporters. This marks a significant shift for the BIGBANG leader, who has focused on massive concerts and world tours for his solo activities. The fan meeting follows the recent conclusion of his successful 39-show ‘Ubermensch’ world tour, which ended with an encore in Seoul in December 2025.

A Historic First for the Veteran Artist

G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, is no stranger to performing for thousands. His resume includes large-scale solo world tours like ‘ONE OF A KIND’ in 2013 and ‘ACT III: M.O.T.T.E’ in 2017. Most recently, he wrapped up the ‘G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Ubermensch]’, a global trek that began in March and visited 17 cities across Asia, North America, and Europe.

Despite this extensive performance history, the artist has never held a formal, solo-named fan meeting. While BIGBANG held group fan meetings in the past, the last official one was in 2016. This makes the upcoming February event a historic milestone, serving as G-Dragon’s first official fan meeting since his debut.

While G-Dragon has long focused on concerts and world tours during his solo career, he has never hosted a formal fan meeting under his own name.

A New Chapter After the Ubermensch Era

The fan meeting announcement comes as G-Dragon closes a major chapter. His ‘Ubermensch’ tour was built around a deep, philosophical concept and featured advanced production, including artificial intelligence, drone technology, and immersive LED visuals. The tour’s final encore at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome in mid-December was a major event, attended by around 54,000 fans.

The concert featured surprise appearances by his BIGBANG bandmates Taeyang and Daesung, thrilling the audience. G-Dragon performed a mix of his classic solo hits like “Heartbreaker” and “Crooked” alongside tracks from his 2025 album Übermensch, such as “Too Bad” and “Drama”.

What Fans Can Expect from the Event

Although specific details about the fan meeting’s location and activities are still under wraps, these events are typically different from concerts. Fan meetings often include more intimate conversations, games, Q&A sessions, and opportunities for closer fan-artist interaction. Given G-Dragon’s reputation as a fashion icon and creative visionary, his event will likely feature his unique artistic flair.

This meeting is seen as a special moment for connection following his intense world tour schedule. It also arrives as G-Dragon and BIGBANG look ahead to their 20th anniversary in 2026. During his Seoul encore, G-Dragon hinted at major plans for the anniversary year, calling it the group’s “coming-of-age year” and referencing a planned BIGBANG concert as a “20th birthday party”.

A Landmark in a Landmark Year

The fan meeting is one part of a busy and significant period for G-Dragon. Beyond music, his ‘G-DRAGON Media Exhibition: Übermensche’ has been touring globally since March, using VR, AI, and holograms to translate his album’s themes into digital art. The exhibition has drawn over 230,000 visitors across 11 international cities. Its final stop is in Bangkok, running from January 15 to February 15, 2026.

With the fan meeting, the ongoing exhibition, and BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary activities, G-Dragon is set to maintain a powerful presence in the global entertainment scene. For fans who have supported him since the early days of BIGBANG or through his solo evolution, the February fan meeting represents a long-awaited and personal celebration.
