The wait is finally over for Euphoria fans. After more than four years, the hit HBO drama returned on April 12, 2026, with its third season. The show picks up five years after the events of Season 2, following Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and the rest of the cast as they move out of high school and into adulthood.
The new season brings major changes. The characters are now in their twenties, dealing with jobs, complicated relationships, and dangerous new situations. Rue is working as a drug mule, Cassie is planning a wedding, and Nate has taken over his father’s business. The eight-episode season is available to stream right now.

What to Expect From the New Season
Euphoria Season 3 jumps forward five years. Rue is now living in Mexico and working as a drug mule for Laurie, the dealer she owed money to in Season 2. Cassie and Nate are engaged and living in a big house, but their relationship remains tense. Maddy has moved to Hollywood and works as a celebrity manager. Lexi has a job as an assistant to a TV executive.
The season also deals with the loss of Angus Cloud, who played Fezco. Cloud died in July 2023. Instead of killing off his character, the show says Fezco is serving a 30-year prison sentence. In the premiere episode, Rue tells Lexi to call him and keep in touch.
“I tried really hard to keep him clean while he was here — I loved him very much. I just thought … if I couldn’t keep him alive in real life, then maybe I could at least keep him alive in ‘Euphoria.’ I wanted to honor him this season.”

Eric Dane, who played Cal Jacobs, also passed away in February 2025 after battling ALS. Dane had already finished filming his scenes for Season 3 before his death. The premiere episode opens with a memorial card remembering Dane, Cloud, and producer Kevin Turen, who also passed away in 2023.
New cast members joining this season include singer Rosalía, Natasha Lyonne, Sharon Stone, Trisha Paytas, and former NFL player Marshawn Lynch.
Special Coachella Screening
Before the official TV premiere, Euphoria Season 3 made its first public appearance at the Coachella music festival on April 12, 2026. The episode screened in the festival campgrounds after the day’s final performances. This continues the show’s connection to Coachella, as composer Labrinth performed at the 2023 festival with a surprise appearance by Zendaya.

Is This the Final Season?
Many signs point to Euphoria Season 3 being the last one. Zendaya, who also served as an executive producer on earlier seasons, has said she believes the show is coming to a close. In an interview, she explained that the story is reaching its natural ending point. HBO has not made an official announcement about Season 4, but creator Sam Levinson has suggested this could be the final chapter.
