HBO’s Euphoria finally returned for its third season on April 12, 2026, after a four-year break. The new season jumps forward five years in the story, taking the characters out of East Highland High and throwing them into adult life. Some are chasing Hollywood dreams, some are trapped in dangerous situations, and two of them are actually getting married. Here is exactly where everyone ends up after the Euphoria Season 3 time jump.
Rue Bennett Becomes A Drug Mule To Pay Off A Massive Debt
Rue (Zendaya) is in the worst situation of any character when season 3 begins. After high school, she worked at a smoke shop for a while. But Laurie (Martha Kelly) , the drug dealer from season 2, eventually found her. The $10,000 Rue owed back then has grown to an unbelievable $43 million because of interest and inflation that Laurie added over the years.
Laurie does not expect Rue to pay the full amount. But she makes it clear that Rue still has to pay one way or another. That is how Rue ends up working for Laurie during the Euphoria Season 3 time jump. She becomes a drug mule, traveling to Mexico and carrying drugs inside her body. Faye (Chloe Cherry) is with her, doing the same dangerous work.
Things change when Rue meets Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) , another dealer not connected to Laurie. Alamo offers her a possible way out. Rue still keeps in touch with Lexi and sometimes crashes on her couch in Los Angeles. She also visits her sister Gia at college when she is not running drugs.
Nate Jacobs and Cassie Howard Are Engaged And Living In A Huge House
The biggest surprise of the Euphoria Season 3 time jump is Nate (Jacob Elordi) and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) . The two are engaged and living together in a large mansion. They are also planning an expensive wedding. Cassie wants $50,000 flowers at the ceremony.
Cassie is making money by creating online content. She is trying to build a following on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Her plan is to move to OnlyFans to earn even more. Nate does not respect this career choice at all. He tells her it makes them both look like a joke.
Nate took over his father Cal’s real estate business during the Euphoria Season 3 time jump. But starting new building projects in Southern California has been very difficult. He is dealing with financial pressure for the first time in his life. He is also trying to attract investors for his own project called Sun Settlers , which he describes as a top end-of-life facility.
Lexi Howard Works In Hollywood As A Writers Assistant
Lexi (Maude Apatow) is probably doing the best after the Euphoria Season 3 time jump. She moved to Los Angeles and now works as a writer’s assistant. She works under Patty Lance , played by Sharon Stone , on a nighttime soap called LA Nights.
Lexi feels at home in this new environment. She is surrounded by smart, creative people who care about storytelling. She is even giving input and notes on the show. Lexi still cares about Rue and gives her advice about planning for the future. Rue also tells Lexi that Fezco misses her and that she should call him.
Maddy Perez Works At A Talent Management Company
Maddy (Alexa Demie) has a job that looks glamorous on the outside. She works at a talent management company representing influencers and a few actors. She gets to walk red carpets and attend high-profile events. But the reality is less exciting.
Most of the work Maddy does goes unnoticed. Her boss takes the credit and most of the money while Maddy answers phones. Her boss even has a treadmill desk. But this is Maddy Perez. She is not someone who stays stuck for long. She is learning how the system works and waiting for the right opportunity to take control.

Jules Vaughn Is In Art School
Jules (Hunter Schafer) does not appear in the season 3 premiere. But viewers learn through other characters that she is in art school. She has always wanted to pursue art, so this is a positive step for her.
There are also rumors that Jules is working as a sugar baby with older men. Lexi heard this from Maddy. More details about where Jules ended up after the Euphoria Season 3 time jump will likely come in later episodes.
Fezco Is Serving Time In Prison
Fezco (Angus Cloud) is not on screen in season 3 because the actor passed away in 2023 at age 25. But his character is still part of the story. After the police raid at the end of season 2, Fez is now in prison serving a 30-year sentence.
Rue tells Lexi that Fez still misses her and that she should call him. Creator Sam Levinson decided to keep Fezco alive in the show as a way to honor Angus Cloud.
“I couldn’t keep him alive in real life, but I could keep his character alive in the show. I kept him alive, and the character has got a great arc. I think he’d be very proud of it.” – Sam Levinson
