Salman Khan turned the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20 into a discussion about nepotism while addressing contestant Rhiti Tiwari’s conduct during a recent diss battle task. The host called her remarks against Uditi Singh and Qazi Touqeer the “worst diss ever” and questioned her claim to fame as the daughter of actor-politician Manoj Tiwari. During the confrontation, Salman mentioned actors including Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol to explain how star kids must prove themselves beyond their family name. What Happened During the Diss Battle
The controversy started during a captaincy task that turned into a rap diss battle. Rhiti Tiwari was facing Uditi Singh, while Qazi Touqeer stepped in to support Uditi. The exchange became personal, and Rhiti used abusive and derogatory language against both contestants. Some of her words were muted on the show. She later defended herself by saying they were slang and that they worked better for the rhyme. She also told Qazi that her father would “deal with him outside the house.”
Salman Khan Questions Rhiti’s Claim to Fame
Salman Khan addressed the incident during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. He questioned Rhiti about both her behaviour and her attitude. He accused her of being insecure about Qazi’s popularity and called her “the most jealous person in the house.” He then questioned how much of her public recognition came from her own work and how much came from her family name.
“Nobody knew you till the time you came on Bigg Boss. Isn’t that true? You are Manoj Tiwari’s daughter,” Salman told her.
He also said, “Till now people must be saying that since you are his daughter, that’s your claim to fame. He is such a big actor, singer, politician, so they think you are here because of him. It’s nepotism; people even say that no one knows you, yet you are here.”
Hrithik Roshan and Ajay Devgn Mentioned in Nepotism Talk
During his speech, Salman Khan shared his views on nepotism. He explained that while family connections can provide an entry into the film industry, they cannot guarantee success. He drew from his own experience and mentioned several actors to make his point.
“My father is a writer. He was in the film industry, but he was the first in his family to come into the film industry. From there, I got an opening, but my struggle was different. I got in through modelling. I have worked a lot with Ajay Devgn’s father, Viru Devganji. He was a fighter; then he became an action director, and Ajay came in from there. Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Jackky, Hrithik Roshan – they all have their own qualities. Then there are a lot of people who are not from the industry; some achieved something, some didn’t. Some famous star kids also bagged their first film, but they couldn’t become popular after that. They didn’t click with the audience, while others did. So your father’s hard work can bring you only till here; then it depends on you.”
Rhiti Tiwari’s Response and Salman’s Warning
Rhiti Tiwari stood by her comments during the episode and explained that the words were part of the rap. Salman, however, felt that there was more behind her reaction. He told her that being a star kid would not earn her any special treatment from him and warned that her conduct could reflect on her father as well.
“Rhiti, you had come to this show with a dream of becoming a rockstar. But this language of yours is going somewhere else, and such a language will not just affect you, but also your father,” Salman said.
He also questioned her for threatening Qazi on multiple occasions and said, “What is it with you threatening Qazi? From what I know, Manoj won’t support this attitude. Your grandmother is also watching this show, and you are Manoj Tiwari’s daughter, not Dolly Bindra’s.”
Salman Addresses Trolls on Special Treatment
Salman Khan also addressed online trolls who claimed that Rhiti Tiwari would not face his anger because she is a star kid. He said, “People have also said that as she is a nepo-kid, Salman will not scream at her. There are two ways to handle this. When I come, they say na ‘Bhai bajaao’ and the other is ‘samjhaoo’, which one do you prefer?” Rhiti was seen getting emotional and crying towards the end of the promo.
