Story So Far and Episode 6 Recap

The first episode, titled “Lightning Emperor -PROLOGUE-,” aired on June 25, 2026. Episode 2, “Lost Technology,” followed on July 2. Episode 3, “Overkill,” aired on July 9. Episode 4, “Seek Freedom,” aired on July 16.
Episode 5 aired on July 23. Episode 6 aired on July 30 and was titled “L’attaque du Baron de la Foudre – Dear Ephthal” (The Attack of the Lightning Baron – Dear Ephthal). In Episode 6, Ephtal could not resist the temptation to check how his disciple had evolved after so many years. The episode continued exploring the gap between Ephtal’s ancient knowledge and the decayed magic of the current era.
Episode 7 continues Ephtal’s journey as he navigates the magic academy and confronts challenges that test his abilities. As his power shakes the world, long-forgotten legends begin to awaken.
Production and Cast
EMT Squared produces the anime. Hisashi Ishii directs, with Deko Akao handling the scripts and Hideki Furukawa in charge of character design.
The opening theme song “+Encount” is performed by FLOW, and the ending theme song “Dōkei (Aspiration)” is performed by TrySail.
