South Korean stars Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol‘s recent off-screen breakup has impacted their professional lives as well. The former couple will no longer be starring together in the upcoming film project “Hyun Hok.”

Project Seeks New Leads After Actors’ Departure

Production company Showbox confirmed in a statement that both actors were no longer under consideration for roles in the film. They clarified that while discussions with Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol had taken place, their casting was never finalized.

“It is true that Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol were in discussions to appear in the film.” “However, we have ended those discussions because their appearances were not confirmed.”

Taking Responsibility: Actor Steps Away

Ryu Jun Yeol’s agency, C-JeS Studio, echoed Showbox’s statement, confirming the actor’s withdrawal from the project. They revealed that Ryu Jun Yeol took responsibility for the recent events, likely referring to the public attention surrounding their breakup, and decided to step down to avoid affecting the film’s production.

It’s correct that Ryu Jun Yeol was in discussions to appear in the film, but the production company has ended those negotiations.

Ryu Jun Yeol feels responsible for what happened recently and agreed to end the negotiations as he does not want the work to feel any repercussions after what happened.

This news comes after earlier reports suggested the production team intended to keep the original cast. With Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol no longer attached to the project, “Hyun Hok” will now begin a new search for its lead actors.
