The violent events took place in Cape Coral, Florida, in October 2019. In the early hours of October 7, Wilson met Kristine Melton at a bar. They later went to her home, where he strangled her. After leaving her house, Wilson attacked his girlfriend at her workplace. He then saw Diane Ruiz walking to her job. He asked her for directions, lured her into the car he had taken from Melton, and strangled her. He then ran over her body with the car.
Wilson was arrested after he called his father, Steven Testasecca, and described what he had done. His father contacted the police. When officers arrested Wilson, he reportedly told them he would commit the crimes again.
The Viral Mugshot and Social Media Obsession
While waiting for his trial in jail, Wilson changed his appearance dramatically. He got many tattoos on his face and neck. When his new mugshot was released, it spread quickly on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
Many people online focused on his look, calling him attractive and creating fan content. This happened even though the details of his violent crimes were public. The documentary series will look at this strange online reaction. It asks why some people become interested in individuals who have committed terrible acts.

Inside the Three-Part Documentary Series
The series is produced by Law & Crime Productions and See It Now Studios, known for their crime and news reporting. The team includes experienced producers. Brian Ross, who wrote the series, also serves as a producer and director with Rhonda Schwartz. Executive producers include Dan Abrams, Rachel Stockman, and Melody Shafir.
The documentary uses different types of footage to tell the story. It includes police bodycam footage from the investigation and arrest. The series also has interviews with people who knew Wilson, as well as law enforcement and legal experts involved in the case. A trailer released by Paramount+ shows some of this material. It includes Wilson’s own voice from phone calls and scenes from his trial.
