Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage made his guest appearance on the CBS comedy Ghosts on April 16, 2026. The 17-year-old actor played a fictional version of himself who visits Woodstone Mansion to join a high-stakes poker game. When asked which Young Sheldon star he would like to see join Ghosts, Armitage did not hesitate. He said Annie Potts would be perfect for the show, especially because of her previous work on another ghost-related property, Ghostbusters.

The episode features Armitage’s character explaining that he was cast in a gritty poker movie and is doing research at the Woodstone game. When someone brings him apple juice, he orders a “Pepsi straight up” to prove how serious he is about his new image.
Armitage told Us Weekly that he is proud of the work he did on Young Sheldon and is not running away from that role. He said he simply enjoys the chance to switch things up and do something totally different. He also mentioned that he would love to appear on the Young Sheldon spin-off Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage if the opportunity comes up.
