In a recent social media uproar, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut targeted Anupama Chopra, the renowned film critic and wife of filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The actress, known for her outspoken nature, took to her X account to express her strong opinions.

Kangana’s criticism stems from Anupama Chopra’s alleged comments on Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film, “12th Fail.” According to Kangana’s tweet, Anupama advised releasing the film on OTT platforms instead of theaters due to potential box office challenges. However, Kangana Ranaut, in her characteristic style, turned the situation into a heated exchange.

The actress’s team, via the Kangana Team account, accused Anupama Chopra of being not just xenophobic but also harboring jealousy and insecurity towards younger and intelligent women. Kangana’s tweet suggested that Anupama is envious of her husband, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, building her career on his name and wealth, flaunting her Bollywood connections at industry events, and aligning herself with gossip circles in Bollywood that allegedly work against genuine talent and quality films.

Surprisingly, some social media users applauded Kangana for her bold stance. One user expressed, “When Kangana speaks, she only speaks out the truth. She is the only fearless actress from Bollywood who is not afraid of anything. She is a rebel. We need more women like her if we wanna see a change in our society. Respect.”

Another supporter added, “Absolutely do agree with what you’re saying. Maybe also better choices with the movies when subjects matter. I still think she is the best actress, not only in Bollywood but also in India. Her next movie looks very promising. She will be back with a bang.”

However, not everyone sided with Kangana. Critics of the actress advised her to focus on her career, with one comment reading, “Success is the best revenge, they say, but in your case, that’s not happening. Concentrate on your career rather than worrying about Anupama Chopra and her husband.”
