The upcoming thriller film Sister has sparked excitement as Lee Soo Hyuk, Cha Joo Young, and Jung Ji So are reportedly in talks for the lead roles. Directed by Jin Sung Moon, a BIFF-winning filmmaker, this gripping story is set to premiere in 2025 and has already wrapped up filming.
A Thrilling Plot with Secrets and Twists
Sister will revolve around two kidnappers who abduct the daughter of a wealthy family. However, the story takes a dark turn as hidden truths and secrets among the characters are revealed, creating a tense and suspenseful narrative.
Lee Soo Hyuk is in talks to play Tae Soo, a loan shark and one of the kidnappers. Known for his chilling portrayal of an evil prince in Queen Woo and roles in shows like Tomorrow and Doom at Your Service, Lee is expected to bring depth to this morally complex character.
Jung Ji So may star as Hae Ran, a young woman who partners with Tae Soo to save her sibling by raising money for surgery. Jung’s breakout role as Song Hye Kyo’s younger counterpart in Netflix’s The Glory, alongside her acclaimed work in Parasite and Curtain Call, has solidified her reputation as a powerhouse performer.
Cha Joo Young, another standout from The Glory, is in talks to play So Jin, the daughter of the conglomerate family who becomes the victim of the kidnapping. Cha’s recent performances in Again My Life and The Real Has Come have showcased her versatility and charisma.
