The journey that began with voices in the dark led to a bright and emotional wedding day for Hyoni Song and Alessandro Bianchin. In the finale of Love Is Blind: Italy, their story stood out as one of certainty and deep connection. While other couples faced dramatic rejections, Hyoni and Alessandro exchanged heartfelt vows and said “I do” in front of their family and friends. Their ceremony became a highlight of the season’s final episodes, which streamed on Netflix on December 15, 2025.
The show’s format puts love to the ultimate test. Singles form connections and get engaged without ever seeing each other, speaking only through a wall in isolated pods. After a honeymoon trip and a period of living together, the couples must decide at the altar if they will marry for real. For Hyoni and Alessandro, their answer was a clear and joyful “yes.”
The Path to the Altar: Family Approval and Wedding Preparations
In the episodes leading to the wedding, Hyoni and Alessandro focused on gaining the blessing of their families, a crucial step for their future.
Hyoni’s parents flew from South Korea to Italy to meet the man their daughter had fallen for sight unseen. Alessandro was nervous but determined to make a good impression. With the help of a translator, he spoke directly to them, saying, “I want you to know that Hyoni makes me so happy. Itโs the first time Iโve felt anything like this”.
The meeting was a success. Hyoni’s mother was instantly charmed, saying Alessandro looked “better than in the pictures”. She later told Hyoni she believed their meeting was destiny. After the visit, Hyoni shared, “After meeting him in person today, my mom is now madly in love with Alessandro”. Her father offered supportive advice, telling Hyoni it was now her turn to make her own decisions and live in harmony with her partner.
With family support secured, the couple moved on to wedding preparations. Trying on their outfits made the upcoming ceremony feel real. Hyoni became emotional while choosing her wedding dress, saying she never imagined reaching this point in her life. Alessandro, preparing separately, reflected on the day’s importance: “I feel that for Hyoni and me, it will be one of the most important days of our lives”.
A Fairytale Wedding Day: Vows, Emotions, and “I Do”
On the morning of the wedding, both were filled with excitement and no doubt. Hyoni described the day as a perfect match for her dreams, stating, “Iโve always pictured a fairytale wedding. And this is exactly how I imagined it”.
When the moment arrived, Hyoni walked down the aisle with her father. At the altar, she spoke first. Her vows focused on the unique foundation of their relationship, formed in the pods where only their voices and personalities mattered.
“You are the person who chose me for who I am inside, not outside,” she said to Alessandro.
She recalled their initial connection and the bond that only grew stronger after they met. When asked if she chose Alessandro as her husband, she gave her final answer:
“So, yes. I want to continue in this direction with you, forever”.
Alessandro then shared his own vows, describing a love that deepened every day.
“Every day Iโve fallen deeper in love with you, with your sweetness and your sincerity, and with how beautiful you are inside and out,” he told her.
He concluded with his own clear commitment:
“So, here, in front of everyone, I sayโฆ yes, I do”.
The officiant declared them husband and wife, and their guests celebrated with applause. After the ceremony, Hyoni reflected on their success, saying, “Well, we found each other, so Iโd say yes. Yes, we made our dream come true”. Alessandro confirmed their unwavering confidence, simply stating, “We were sure about us”.
Contrast with Other Couples’ Wedding Day Drama
Hyoni and Alessandro’s smooth and joyful ceremony provided a stark contrast to the other weddings in the finale, which were marked by uncertainty and shock.
Only one other couple, Nicola and Karen, also said “yes” at the altar. Their journey was more turbulent, but they reached the same decision, marrying in front of their families.
The other two weddings did not end in marriage. Gergana and Parmi had seemed like a strong pair, but at the altar, Gergana said she did not believe they were ready. She told Parmi, “I am madly in love with you but we are not really ready” and left him at the altar, though she asked him to meet her outside.
The most dramatic rejection came from Davide and Ludovica. After a rocky relationship, Ludovica said “yes” at the altar. Davide, however, said “no,” stunning everyone. In a painful private conversation afterward, he told Ludovica that their lifestyles and points of view were too different. He said she was not the woman he wanted to build a future with, leaving her hurt and in tears. Ludovica’s family later commented that she had “dodged a bullet”.
