The Story So Far
The series is set 30 years after an alien invasion that brought humanity to the brink of extinction. Unknown invasive alien lifeforms appeared and nearly destroyed civilization. Humanity has survived but continues to fight for land and resources against these invaders.
The United Nations established EXCEEDS, an agency tasked with investigating and combating alien threats. The story follows Shiina Kuze, a young hunter who lives on a remote island with her sister Setsuna. Shiina works to exterminate invasive species while trying to live a peaceful life.
A single incident changes everything. Nanoha Takamachi and Fate Testarossa Harlaown recruit Shiina to EXCEEDS and explain the nature of the Diaboli, the alien threats they face. Shiina is pulled into a larger battle that will determine the fate of humanity.
The series takes place in the timeline following the feature films Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection (2017) and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation (2018).
