Hanuman Ansh has become one of the biggest surprise hits of 2026. The devotional film, based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, was made on a small budget of Rs 2 crore. It has now crossed Rs 236 crore worldwide. With the film’s massive success, producer Namrata Singh has shared new details about the planned sequels. She also spoke about whether famous devotees like Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Julia Roberts will appear in the next part.
Producer Namrata Singh on Celebrity Cameos
Namrata Singh recently spoke to Bollywood Hungama about the film’s future. When asked if celebrity devotees of Neem Karoli Baba would feature in the sequel, she gave a careful answer.
“I have reached out to some of them, and (they) were aware of the film earlier.”
This statement has led to a lot of talk among fans. However, Namrata did not confirm if any of them have said yes. She made it clear that the film’s focus remains on the Indian devotees first. The second part will center on the Kainchi Dham story. This ashram in Uttarakhand holds deep meaning for Neem Karoli Baba’s followers. The third film will look at how the spiritual leader’s influence spread across the world.
Namrata also explained why the Indian devotees come first.
“There are thousands of devotees whose lives he touched in India, and they come first, without doubt. The Kainchi story is about the Indian devotees. The third film will focus on how he put India on the global map by spiritual energy that he transferred to the foreigners, be it Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, Julia Roberts, etc.”
Who Are the Famous Devotees of Neem Karoli Baba?
Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj Ji, had a deep impact on many well-known people. His teachings reached far beyond India. Steve Jobs visited India in the 1970s and was drawn to the spiritual path. Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey have also spoken about their interest in Indian spirituality. Julia Roberts has been open about her connection to Neem Karoli Baba’s teachings.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have also been linked to the spiritual guru. The couple has visited Kainchi Dham in the past. Their reported spiritual connection has added to the excitement around the film. If they appear in the sequel, it would be the first time the couple shares the screen in a film.
The Hanuman Ansh Trilogy Plan
The makers always imagined Hanuman Ansh as a three-part story. Namrata Singh confirmed this in her interview. The first film covered Neem Karoli Baba’s early years. It showed his journey from his birthplace in Firozabad to his time at Kainchi Dham. The film also showed his transformation into the revered saint.
The second part will explore the Kainchi period in more detail. This is where Neem Karoli Baba’s ashram became a major spiritual center. The third film will have an international setting. It will look at how his teachings reached people around the world.
“We know the concept and how the second and third part is looking like. Vishal Chaturvedi is a very fast writer. He wrote the script of the first part in less than a month. We finished the shoot in 22 days.”
Namrata also said the team needs a break before starting work on the next part. They have been working non-stop for over a year and a half. She said they will take at least 90 days to rest and then resume work.
Hanuman Ansh Box Office Success
The film’s journey at the box office has been remarkable. Hanuman Ansh released on August 7, 2026, in only 25 screens. It earned just Rs 1.08 crore in its first week. The second week was also slow, with only Rs 40 lakh. But everything changed in the third week. Word of mouth spread fast, and the film started drawing large crowds.
By the sixth week, Hanuman Ansh had become the number one film in India. It beat big releases like Mirzapur The Movie and Haiwaan. On its 37th day, it collected Rs 18.50 crore net in India. Its total India net collection now stands at Rs 192.18 crore. The domestic gross is Rs 227.06 crore, and the worldwide gross has crossed Rs 236 crore.
