The first season of Off Campus just arrived on Prime Video on May 13, 2026, and the streaming service has already made big plans for the show’s future. Based on Elle Kennedy’s popular book series, the college hockey romance is set to continue with more seasons already in the works.
The Show Got A Season 2 Renewal Before Season 1 Even Aired
Prime Video showed serious confidence in Off Campus by renewing it for a second season back in February 2026. This announcement came months before the first episode ever hit the streaming platform. The early renewal tells viewers that the streaming service believes the show will find its audience.
Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, explained why they moved so quickly on the renewal.
“Off Campus captures the kind of emotionally charged, character-driven storytelling that truly resonates with our global Prime Video audience. With its passionate fan base, rich source material, and an incredible creative team bringing Briar U to life, we knew that this series had the depth and momentum to continue beyond its first season.”
Season 2 Will Focus On A Different Couple From The Books
The Off Campus book series has five books total. The first book called The Deal follows Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham. The second book The Mistake shifts focus to John Logan, one of Garrett’s hockey teammates.
India Fowler has already joined the cast for season 2 as Grace Ivers, who becomes Logan’s love interest in the second book. This confirms the show will follow the books by making each season center on a different couple from the Briar University hockey team.
Antonio Cipriano, who plays Logan, broke the news to Fowler about joining the show through an Instagram video. Production for season 2 is already starting, with filming happening in Vancouver.
Main Actors From Season 1 Will Stay For Future Seasons
Fans worried that Hannah and Garrett might disappear after season 1 can relax. Belmont Cameli, who plays Garrett, told Us Weekly that the main cast members will stay involved as the show continues.
“I totally understand your concern. We will be along for the ride the whole time,” Cameli said.
Ella Bright, who plays Hannah, also confirmed the plan is for them to be “sticking” around. This matches how the books work. The original couples keep appearing in later stories while new couples take the main spotlight.
Phillipa Soo has also joined the season 2 cast as Scarlett, a theatre director working with the college drama department.
How Many Seasons Could The Show Get In Total?
The Off Campus book series has five main books:
- The Deal (Hannah and Garrett) – Season 1
- The Mistake (Logan and Grace) – Season 2
- The Score (Dean and Allie)
- The Goal (Tucker and Sabrina)
- The Legacy (follow-up stories about all the couples)
Each book focuses on a different couple from the same friend group. This gives Prime Video enough material for at least four full seasons if they adapt one book per season. The fifth book, The Legacy, is a collection of short stories showing the couples later in life, so that could work as a shorter season or special episodes.
The show could also pull from Kennedy’s other series. She wrote spin-off books called Briar U that take place in the same world with new characters. This means if Off Campus stays popular, the streaming service could keep making seasons for years.
When Could Season 2 Arrive On Prime Video?
Season 2 does not have an official release date yet. But the early renewal and early production start suggest a faster turnaround than most shows. Since season 1 dropped on May 13, 2026, and season 2 is already filming, a spring or summer 2027 release seems possible.
The first season released all eight episodes at once, giving viewers the option to binge the whole story in one sitting. Prime Video will likely follow the same pattern for future seasons.
